Delicious! Amazing service. Tranquility is my new favorite drink. She was also happy to make my drink caffeine free! Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere and good vibes in the building. Lots of love, effort, and creativity has been put into this business and it definitely reflects. Extremely delicious and healthy breakfast I picked up. Look forward to coming back!

I chose Koinonia cafe after googling “best breakfast in Mitchel SD”. Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Coffee was great and the folks were exactly what there name indicated. Stop here if you’re in Mitchell

My dad and I came to eat here for lunch. It was very busy but service was fast and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the cafe club and he had the Reuben and tomato soup. We both said we would be back!

Was looking for a nice place to sit and have coffee on a cold blustery day. this place looked amazing inside. Walked in, stood at the counter and proceeded to be actively ignored. Tried to ask for help and the person working there stared me down without saying a word and turned their back on me. I turned around and left but the lady who came in behind me was warmly greeted. Not a good look for out of town guests. Got better service at Starbucks.

Driving down I90 yesterday morning I was wishing I could find a place that was small and served good food and coffee. Turned into Mitchell and drove down the Main Street and saw what looked like a coffee shop. Wow, one of the best omelettes I ever had and even very good gluten-free toast. A very relaxing place. You order at the counter for carry out or sit at a table. They roast their own coffee and it was better than Starbucks. What a jewel in the middle of Mitchell South Dakota.

Got there 6:30 on a Thursday evening; one-hour wait for our order. Delicious pizza, lemonade refreshingly tart. Melt-in-your-mouth cheesecake dessert on the house due to order delay. Very friendly service. They have now changed hands, or name or both; used to be Elixir. Went for lunch and ate yummy panini, good service. Try the Chipotle raspberry paninni.

All I wanted was a simple cup of coffee. There was only a half cup left so she said she had to make more. That would have been ok if she had actually made the coffee but she proceeded to take other orders instead of starting coffee brewing. After she had taken several orders and still not started additional coffee. I took half cup and left. Good coffee, not good service.

Passing through looking for coffee and breakfast. Ended up getting coffee down the road, but the breakfast panini here was perfect. Large portion, nothing too fancy but very satisfied. More than anything, the vibes in the shop are excellent. This would undoubtedly be my spot were I a local. Definitely recommend.
