Visited this location while driving through Sumter recently. So glad that we stopped. It was busy when we arrived in the afternoon.The bakery display case still had so many yummy options to choose from. We only purchased dessert items, however the menu of other items was massive. The peanut butter cake I selected was mouth watering!
It's a sit down but not clear if the hostess doesn't seat you... I waited 30 minutes just to be told my take out was cold and sitting on a rack in the back of the seating area... they need a better front person to manage the take out orders
Had a great experience, food was delicious. I've had the burger and chicken tenders. Very nice!
Food is always great, and the service is mostly good. Need more staff.
If you're from Sumter, then you probably think this place is great. Ignorance is Bliss. This place delivers a fraction of its potential. I have come here and have eaten well. But it's a big gamble. What a disappointment. Today I had gamey chicken and wilted lettuce. This place has potential but standards are not being maintained. If this is the result of price cuts, or underpaid employees, then the owners have no one to blame but themselves.

My wife and I wanted breakfast, so we decided on Baker's Sweet. We have heard that it was a nice place to eat. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The waiter was nice and attended to our order within four minutes. After our order was taken, it took 40 minutes to receive our order. The food was good and cooked to our taste. However, the time to receive our order was a deal breaker. Parking is available. If you enjoy sweets, you will enjoy their selections. I will say it is worth a try. Take the family and enjoy the food. Hopefully, your experience will be better.

Top quality foods. Generous serving sizes. Reasonably priced. Parking spots are scarce during busy periods. Great coffee and desserts.

Great place to bring visiting family or to stop by for lunch. Be prepared for a wait on the weekends. You can order to go at the front or sit down for table service in the dining room. The iced lattes are delicious..smooth and creamy. Theres a pastry case up front. The food was good and the prices are fair. My 4 year old picky eater loved her ham and cheese sandwich. This is a restaurant I would recommend to friends and family.
Always love comming here. The cafe coffee is amazing. Unfortunately lately the baked goods haven't exactly been what they used to. I had the shortcake and it tasted a little freezer burnt so I wonder if they bulk bake them freeze. The dine in options are very good though. I got the Philly cheese steak omelet and that was very good. The coffee bar however was not good at all. The coffee tasted old and bitter. But overall this place is worth going to.
I didn’t enjoy my lunch as much as I expected, but I’m still interested in trying the breakfast or baked items I ordered a turkey avocado melt, sweet potato fries, and an iced mocha. The latter two were both decent, but the tomatoes on the sandwich were way old, and the turkey was really lacking in flavor My friends didn’t love their food (sausage/kale soup and patty melt), either, and I personally didn’t feel the meal was worth the $24 I paid. Service was decent, at least
Had the fried chicken sandwich and it was so delicious! My sister had the pecan crusted chicken salad and absolutely loved it! The best part of our lunch was the peanut butter cake slice we shared…. Y’all it was so dang yummy that I wanted to go back and get a piece to bring back home with me! First time there and when I’m back in Sumter visiting, this is a definite return for lunch

Haven’t had the pecan crusted chicken salad in a long time and it was still as tasty as I remember. Service was very friendly.
Atmosphere is great as is customer service; wasn't too crazy about most of the sweets. Brownies and brownie-like Desserts very dry.
