Hip place with good food and good coffee. I liked the burger better than the huevos rancheros. Update... after multiple bad cappuccinos I am changing my review. They cook the milk of the cappuccino and get it way to hot. It doesn't make since to me how this nice of a place has consistent bad barristas. It's very disappointing because the food and atmosphere is so good, but this cappuccino is garbage. I hate I paid for it. As you can see in the picture of the cappuccino, the milk froth is not smooth with small bubbles. Large bubble froth means it was steamed to long. It was cooked enough to burn my mouth. Cappuccino should never be that hot.... I asked for another because it wasn't really a capp. They seemed annoyed instead of apologizing. Springbok coffee has training. They need to send people there. They also need a class in southern hospitality. My review is going to a 1 star because the cant make a good capp and they are rude. I did sit at the bakery bar and the bakers were super nice!

Terrible unorganized don't even know if I can call this a restraunt the manager I think that's what he does he's old and didn't seem to do much but I digress he was very unsanitary and ruined my entire experience will not plan any further events here well I canceled what I had considered at least 2 stars cuz the ladies up front were nice and I have to say some of the food was ok.

Love the atmosphere and building. Some days is more difficult to find a parking spot. Great selection of drinks and food.

Always love the breakfast wrap, consistent and yummy! The coffee is coffee, hits the spot. Fantastic place to sit inside or outside and get work done, chat with friends or a quick bite. Can get crowded as the food is worth it.

I come to M&M often to work. I like that the space is so open and there are lots of cozy nooks to sit and do work. With that being said, I find that the food from the kitchen is severely lacking. I've tried most of the savory breakfast items, and nothing stands out as great with the exception of some of their baked goods. The coffee drinks are not good. I have had to re-order a drink or get something else more than two times now because it has been too sweet or was made wrong (I swear they are making lattes with one less shot than the standard). I often see people bring their own food or drinks when working here, and now I know why! I have mentioned the coffee issue before and gotten a refund, but other times I just feel plain bad to ask because the barista counter is super understaffed for the influx of people that M&M gets. It doesn’t seem like I’m alone in what I’ve experienced based on other reviews, as well as ones among peers in Charleston. To be clear – I don’t think this is a staff issue, rather a managerial one. I just wish the food and beverage experience would match the ambiance here because it has so much potential to be better than it has been.

Large coffee shop with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Both coffee and food options. Gets a bit crowded, especially on Fridays so there may be a line and a full parking lot. Awesome spot to have informal meetings or work on your laptop. Overall a clean, charming (attached to the beautifully restored cigar factory) and roomy place to have coffee and food items.

The food was good, but under portioned and overpriced. Yep bacon egg and cheese biscuits and two cups of coffee for $36 plus tip and left hungry. The staff was both courteous and dismissive. The atmosphere was nice. Even though it doesn't sound like it, overall we had a decent experience. I would go back.

The avocado toast was next level!!!! Never had anything like it, SO GOOD. I’ll be dreaming of it until next time. Also I never leave reviews but this deserves it.

Really enjoy this place! The staff are wonderful, their beer and whiskey selection are fantastic, and great food. They have a bocce, shuffleboard, and even an arcade cabinet.

Great spot to work remotely - plenty of space to sit and free wifi. I had the Breakfast wrap and cappuccino to go. It took a long time to get my food, but it was yum. My girl friend got pastry and it was tasty as well.

Lots of options for dietary restrictions. Got my Avocado toast on gluten free bread. Watched the open kitchen while dining -- and saw bad hygiene. Worker touched hair, then touched raw dough. I know pasta gets boiled, but still....

The place looks great! The dishes are very good. Since they only have one person making all the coffee drinks, it was slightly slow waiting my coffee. Recommended nonetheless!!!

Nice atmosphere inside, I went mid morning on a Friday and the space was fairly full but not actively busy. I ended up disappointed that my to-go order of one breakfast burrito took 30 minutes and didn’t include any avocado I had paid $3 extra for. So for $16 I received a scrambled egg and black bean burrito. I would have asked for a correction but after 30 minutes I was not able to stick around any longer to wait for a new one.
