Best local spot in Avondale. Good coffee, great service.
Loved my honey lavender latte!!
Probably the best beans I've bought in a year came from here. Their pourovers are great
This was my first stop in Charleston and I think it might have been the best coffee I had during the entire trip! Definitely a must if you’re in the area.
Fiancé brought me some fresh beans home to NC for the new espresso machine. Absolutely delicious! Cheers
Great coffee and atmosphere.
The coffee here is delicious, and the girls behind the counter are sweet. They do a great job. The outside is patio is nice when it’s warm and you can sit with your dogs. Shame that everyone has taken to sitting around taking up tables with their laptops. The coffee shop needs to do a better job of monitoring then or keep them to sitting at the counter so one person on a laptop isn’t taking up an entire table for hours . And when I say I want my coffee for here please don’t give me a paper cup. 3 stars for that
Honestly I was a little underwhelmed with Highfalutin after the number of recommendations I’d received about it. I tried the southwest quiche which tasted like it’d been made a week ago and reheated in the microwave. The oat milk cappuccino was fine but nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is very cute and the staff were friendly, so that redeemed it a bit. I’d love to give it another try just to make sure this wasn’t an off day for them.
Nice place. Very good coffee. Great service.
This is a great local coffee shop. I get coffee here multiple times per week. The coffee is always delicious and the staff are awesome people.
Firstly, the patio is absolutely incredible and is half the reason I go to high faluten! Secondly, the coffee and staff is great. There are very few options for good quality coffee in West Ashley, and high faluten definitely fits so I'm so thankful they exist. If only they had a third location closer to me!
I love this place. The atmosphere is great, the people are incredibly approachable, and the coffee is great! I’m a coffee nerd and when I go here I get to talk coffee and need out. I love it.
I wish I could have sat and enjoyed my coffee longer. I found this at random and really wanted a good classic cup of coffee and they definitely have it. The panini was tasty but honestly it's yhr atmosphere that was so excellent. It was just a beautiful shop, quiet but not dead silent and inviting.
Best coffee in town ,great atmosphere and service 👏🏼☕️
What happened? It’s been a few years since we visited the once comfortable inviting coffee shop. The couches are gone and it definitely has lost its inviting atmosphere. The staff was not friendly and the espresso was sour and obviously not pulled correctly. Not many pastry selections so I chose the banana bread, it also was not good. We wanted to enjoy our coffee in and were not asked. When my wife saw them getting ready to prepare her espresso in a take away cup she requested a mug. That should’ve alerted them that we were dining in. They still proceeded to put my americano in a paper cup and my slice of bread in a paper bag.
This coffee shop was just okay. The dark roast didn't feel very dark or bold but my wife did enjoy her latte. We did outdoor seating which was nice but they could really do some upkeep on the walking areas (maybe just a little leaf blow?). We docked two stars on two things. It is in a very busy area (good for business I guess) but sitting outside was incredibly noisy on a busy intersection making it really difficult to concentrate and seating was also limited inside. Second, the staff all looked like they just hated their jobs and just not really friendly. It's sort of off putting when you're from out of town excited about trying a new coffee shop with highly rated reviews.
Quiet except for the occasional inconsiderate who conducts their media business at a level justified only behind closed doors. My latte was delicious and the quiche was very tasty with a texture of beaten egg whites. It was served on a lunch size ceramic plate with real flatware. Nice touch.
I moved to Charleston from Austin, TX and needed to find a local coffee shop, because f Starbucks. Highfalutin wasn't too far from my house, so I figured I'd check it out. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Their patio alone makes this place amazing!! The coffee and the food (espresso & panini) are delicious and their prices are really fair. There's a nice atmosphere inside too, but I'm scared of monkey pox, so I stayed my butt outside on the beautiful patio. They allow dogs on the patio, so bring them when you come!!
I love the ambience of the entire shop. They sell art from local artists and have a nice patio that makes you feel away from everything! I ordered a honey cinnamon latte and it was not too sweet; it was just perfect!
World class coffee. I know, I’m from the Pacific Northwest (we know coffee). Had a cortado. Wifey had an iced caramel latte. On. Point.
