Fun little coffee shop but drinks were a bit disappointing. Chai was a bit weak and overly sweet for my preference and the espresso was also a bit weak. Really surprising since I love second state roasting co.
Great coffee joint. Amazing atmosphere, no cold brew but the barista audibles and it was good. Iced americano
Great spot, bonus points for one of the few shops to open before 9am. Staff is amazing!!!
Beautiful space and friendly/quick service. Bagel, egg and cheese sandwich slapped and my 5 year old enjoyed the egg white fritata (it was just a microwaved thing, so not for me). Coffee was pretty good. Very pricey though.
Great coffee and very relaxing vibes. The service was outstanding too
Great coffee and nice staff!
Cool vibe, great place to pull out your laptop and work, and the coffee was also pleasant.
Convenient location with a modern, romantic aesthetic! A great place to stop and work on your laptop, grab a quick bite, or order a coffee to go. My oat milk latte was delicious and the service was friendly and fast, even with a line of customers. Plenty of seating between 11:00-1:00 when I was there on a Friday.
Rrqdly friendly and good coffee
Very cute coffee shop with lots of seating options. A bit pricey compared to other local coffee shops.
Loved my latte! I got an iced lavender latte with almond milk and it was perfect. Loved the vibe and there seemed to be ample seating.
Reasonable ambience, but the espresso to milk ratios are completely off for latte and cappuccino. No latte art despite marketing pics. And even when assured they would make my drink in a real ceramic mug I was handed it in a cardboard to go cup.
Best coffee in Charleston. The espresso is so good in any form. Helpful and friendly staff as well! And awesome ambience
Their sunshine cookies are to DIE for! Unique drink offerings and great service
Nice place that opens early. Coffee was good, muffins and coffee cake were great. Even got a bag of grounds to go and they ground for us.
The Dirty Chai Latte was amazing. I think it’s my new favorite drink. Clerks is a great place to have a coffee or tea or to chill out and get some work done.
Really happy we found this place while visiting Charleston. Everything was delicious, especially the pistachio rose latte and the chocolate chip cookie.
I went to Clerks twice in the last 2 days for different purposes and had reasonably good experiences each time. Yesterday, I was looking for a spot to listen in on a 2-hour meeting. Over the course of the time I was there, I had 2 different drinks and a sandwich. The drinks were good and the sandwich (tomato and mozzarella) was quite good, though it wasn’t toasted quite long enough and had some cold spots. My one complaint both days is that the ordering process is really slow, so I spent more time waiting in line to order than I did waiting for my food or drinks. The wifi is through the hotel (The Emeline) and worked great after going through the registration process. The seating was comfortable and had good outlet access. This morning, we stopped in to grab drinks and breakfast sandwiches. I was less enthused about the breakfast sandwiches. The biscuits the sandwiches came on were good but the egg was one of the egg patties that many places use to crank out breakfast sandwiches and it was not very good. I also paid the up charge to get the tomato jam, of which there was little on my sandwich. Would recommend: Beverages Tomato mozzarella sandwich Would not recommend: Breakfast sandwich
Watch out Starbucks. There’s an amazing coffee shop in Town. Great atmosphere plenty of seating. The lavender lemonade refresher is worth a try. Definitely will be taking my wife here the next time we are both downtown.
Lattes were decent. Breakfast sandwich left much to be desired. No cheese on sandwich? Just a generic microwave sandwich.
