So excited to have a Cuban cafe in town! Everything so far I've tried is delicious: pastelitos, cubanos, empanadas, café con leche, and more! Such a relaxed atmosphere too with great owners and staff! For the people that are complaining in other reviews about it taking too long to get their food, well, it's made to order from scratch or baked fresh (if they need to bake more). And honestly good things are worth waiting for! Also being that it's not a big establishment, I can see how an influx of customers can cause a delay in orders coming out. So, a bit of patience is surely appreciated. I'm sure I'll be back every time I come downtown. Especially for picadillo when it's on the menu and some frozen cafe con leche in the summer. Buen provecho! ☕

Just awesome. Authentic Cuban coffee and great food staples. Cuban coffee is sweetened espresso. If you aren't sure what to get, try the cafe con leche. It's a shot of espresso, sweetened, and added to a cup of steamed milk. Think latte that means business. Sandwiches are on point. You can't go wrong with any of them. And pastries. Oh, the pastries. They are as close to authentic as we'll find in Charleston. Guava and cheese is awesome. Guava is awesome. Cheese is awesome. Pastries are awesome. Dale!

Great location, great food, and excellent coffee! If you have never had Cuban coffee, stop in and get a cafecito or share a colada! You’re not gonna be disappointed.

So many good things to say! The coffee is some of the best around, the staff is super friendly, locally owned and they always are working their butts off, and the food is fantastic! Must try!

Visited 3 different coffee shops on the area during my 4 day stay in Charleston and this was the best one.

Cafecito stole my heart with its delightful Cuban flavors and cozy atmosphere. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The authentic Cuban sandwiches were out of this world, and the pastries were like a taste of Havana. The staff's passion for their craft was evident in every sip and bite. If you're craving a slice of Cuba in Charleston, Cafecito is the place to be. ¡Qué delicioso!

The colada and cuban sandwich were excellent. Staff was affable. Nice to have a place that reminds me of Mami. Will be back.

Being a Miami transplant Cafecito satisfies my craving for authentic Cafe con Leche, Tostada and all the Cuban sandwiches I miss. The owners are great company to reminisce with and the atmosphere is very welcoming and the food is fantastic!

The sandwiches are great, but take a bit of time. Worth waiting for though.

The most dysfunctional and inept coffee shop I’ve ever been to. EDIT TO ADD.. after over 15 minutes of waiting we asked for a refund- the owner proceeded to PRETEND TO REFUND our purchase. NEVER HAPPENED, they are THIEVES!! Paid for coffee we never received!!

Food — amazing! Such a tasty and filling sandwich and a great coffee. I love it! Experience — gosh, if it’s crowded, please consider you will wait for your order for 20-30 mins at least, it would be okay if there is a space to wait or if you can take over the table but usually you can’t since the place is very busy. I feel like the order management could be more effective. Overall, the vibe and the food vs the pricing was so good that i will rate it as a 5 star👍👍👍

I came here to give Cafecito an excellent review - the best and only Cuban sandwich shop in Charleston - and was surprised to see below 1 star. Happened to be there at same time and was impressed by how this cool little cafe handled the Easter crowd. Each coffee is hand whipped and authentic. If there's a crowd every day must be a great sign, no?

While on a tour of the city noticed this cute coffee shop and when my friend and I walked the aroma of the empanadas, good empanadas and the aroma of good coffee, we knew we'd have to sit and take a load off from walking. Highly recommend this place, the owners are so welcoming and I wish them all the best.
