Went on a day that they are “busy” with one big table. Server was very nice, but the food took over an hour to come out.
A favorite breakfast place when back in Richland. 4 stars because the home fries are so-so...all other breakfast food I have had there has been great. I love the old school diner atmosphere as well.

As busy as they were our waitress was our best and fulfilled all of our needs!
Love this place great service an they have a lottery machine lol it's a shame I gave this place a 5 star review which I will be taking back our waitress did check on us one time forgot part of my order then when I said something to the grumpy older cashier not even a apology it will be a long time before I come back an you have Lisa the waitress an the grumpy old lady that rang us up
Awesome retro style cafe. They have a huge menu, and serve breakfast all day. I had the eggs Benedict’s and it was delicious. My dad had the big breakfast (they aren’t kidding when they say big) they also have a huge selection of homemade pies and baked goods. Highly recommend, we will be stopping back!
I love the breakfast burrito here. Their food and coffee are pretty good but sometimes you can wait for really long times to get served and/or to get your food.

Caught up with a dear friend. Our server was very attentive and understanding. She didn't try to rush us.
Good homestyle cooking. Lately not as good .. but I won't change the 4 stars ... I'll give it another chance even though the owner was absolutely unequivocally ruder than rude in a separate review.

Had to sit while other that came in after we did got service and food. Very unsatisfied. I give this place a thumbs down
We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning expecting to have a wait. The staff informed us there would be approximately a 45 minute wait for food, which we were ok with. After waiting an hour, and noticing tables that had been seated long after us eating their food, we asked about ours. Our food came out 5 minutes later mostly cold, and missing a couple of items. We had to wait another 15 minutes for the rest of our food. We got our $60 bill. We asked to speak to the manager, to find out he is the owner. I politely explained what had happened and didn’t feel I should have to pay for all of the food that wasn’t even hot or correct. He was combative and said that it was normal and we were the only table that had any issues. I would have paid for the entire bill without a problem had he just owned up for the short coming and offered an apology. Had the situation been handled more professionally, I would consider bringing my business back to this establishment, but as it is, I will not return.
Had an absolutely awful experience at Corner Coffee Shoppe yesterday (Sunday, 2/26) afternoon. After getting our drinks we waited an hour for our food, did not see our waiter at all during that time. No checking in on us or updates. The restaurant wasn't even busy. Food finally came and my partner's order was wrong and my order was cold (his probably was too). My plate was dirty - there was red sauce on the side if it (I ordered an omelet). Fed up we explained to the hostess that we were not going to eat it or pay. She was helpful. 2 other people came up to the register to complain about cold, burnt food and long wait time. We left and went to Valley Dairy. Hard to support small local business when you have an experience like this. I left 2 stars because I've had positive experiences at Corner Coffee Shoppe in the past but after this I will never go back.
It's like you've stepped back in time great food and the atmosphere is like you stepped back in time it like a 50's-60's decor.
It's diner food at most. The last two trips here are the wait to get our meal grows. We have waited for 45+ mins for an omlet and home fries and eggs over easy and hash browns.Ordered a bagel as well. I think they forgot to toast it. Only one drink was filled, and that was when the check came. The server was nice, and she even recognized the bagel wasn't toasted. She felt bad for the wait as she apologized each time she passed the table. Just be aware you may be sitting awhile if your hungry.
I visit Johnstown several times a year and always stop here. It is a truly great family atmosphere with great food at fair prices. And the staff is ALWAYS friendly.
