I really don't get the hype with this place. The food isn't great, it is ridiculously overpriced, and the service is horrible. If you want a good burger and milkshake, go to State Burger Co.
28 year anniversary brunch. Pictured is the haus bowl and breakfast burger. Both meals were absolutely amazing! Best burger I have had out in a while! If you are in the are then you need to eat here! Service was prompt and friendly!
Tasty food and milkshakes, but the prices are outrageous. The portions are rather dinky as well. Service was friendly however! Do yourself a favor and go to State Burger just down the street. Countless burger, milkshake, and fry options without breaking the bank.
Ordered online pickup. Showed up 30 minutes later when our order was "ready" and was told, "The printer never printed your order, wait here while we figure it out." A couple minutes later, they returned to the window and told us they found it, and it'd be another 30 minutes. A few moments later, a very rude drive thru waitress returned and told us they were out of ice cream and couldn't make a shake but could do a smoothie instead. We said we'd rather just have a refund for the shake. The waitress said they can't do refunds, and she "wasn't sure what we wanted from them." Eventually, she came back and gave us a $10 gift card for a $12 shake we never got. Whatever. Finally, 40 minutes pass, and we got our food. We were missing half of it, so we went back and asked for our missing items. The same rude waitress we had been dealing with scoffed and got the missing items. We checked the bag again before leaving just to verify, and we were STILL missing items. Went back AGAIN, and the same rude waitress got whatever was left and acted like we were idiots because she forgot our stuff. I wish she had a name tag on because she was absolutely the worst mannered person I've ever dealt with at a restaurant. Check out some other great restaurants in Bellefonte before paying over $50 for a couple of burgers, fries, and shakes. Changed my 5* review from a couple of years ago to this 1* review. We will not be going back.
Have been here many times with no problems however, this past weekend we had a reservation at 7:15 to which I had to cancel around 4pm due to our daughters graduation from Penn State running over and there was no way we would have made it in time. I was doing the right thing by calling and letting them know and the person on the phone said they understood. No where in that conversation did they say we are still charging you a $20 fee for cancelling. Cancelling was out of my control. And with how busy State College was with graduations this past weekend there is no way you didn't fill our spot. Will never step foot in here again.
Made a quick stop during a road trip. Very busy , but owner took quick care of us. Coffee was excellent & service top notch. Highly recommend
We went after a soccer game during graduation weekend. The staff was wonderful. We were greeted at the door. Our server, Lexi, was so sweet, friendly and checked on us periodically. Absolutely will be coming again!!!!
Good food, nice casual ambience, excellent service from Christian.
Nice local place. Recommend to try the milk shakes. Also know that fries appetizer can be for 4 people.
Our food was really good, and we didn't have any issues with service like many other reviewers have said.
Abby was such a doll!! It's nice seeing a smiling face as you walk in the door! 1st time there and she took her time filling us in on all the goods! We got the Cheesesteak Totchos but with Fries, Lemonade Refreshers, Yuengling Fish with Onion Rings, and the OG Burger....SuPeR DeLiciOus!!!! Then added the Cookie Monster Shake & Oreo Shake which topped it all off! When we are in the area, we will definitely be stopping by again...very clean burger joint!! Food and drinks had very strong flavors too! Box it up and sell it!
Update: It has now been over a week after they asked for me to reach out via email. I have, twice, with no replies. Worst service I've ever experienced. I've never walked out of a restaurant before. I feel our server was new. But that is no excuse. We were sat before two other tables, however they were served first and received their food first. Our server did not know the menu, nor did she inform us of any shortages. Our order was wrong, not having the toppings we selected, our drinks were late, and our one latte drink was cold. We left, only have a few sips of our coffee before leaving due to our orders being incorrect and even after asking for help, not having it corrected or having any staff let us know what was being done to help. The restaurant was not busy, only 5 tables total with us being one of them. Again, being new is one thing, providing horrible service is another. The only other thing I had noticed is we were the only LGBTQ couple in this location this evening, I don't want to make assumptions and try to not attribute to malice what would be simple mistakes, but it made me and my partner feel rather singled out. Not sure if I'll be coming back after this experience.
I hate posting such a low review but it just wasn't great. Our server was very nice and that was the high point. We made reservations for a Friday night and thank goodness we did because it was busy. It was loud and hard to talk at our table in the corner. We ordered chicken fingers that were tough and ended up leaving them and just eating the fries that came with it. We chose this restaurant for their milkshake stacks but didn't know until after we ordered that they weren't making shakes that night because they needed the milk shake staff to bus tables and run food. It just wasn't the food or atmosphere we thought we were getting. It felt more like a crowded Eat In Park than The Field.
Service was pretty horrible. The place was nowhere near busy but it took them 10 minutes to take our drink order, which we just ordered the food then as well. They didn’t let us know they were out of tots until we went to order, which the tots were in half the breakfast menu items. Food came out relatively quick. Overall food was subpar. Almost never saw our waitress again to order refills. Definitely not coming here again.
Service and atmosphere were both great! Only issue was that they were sold out of MANY menu items. Normally, I wouldn't comment on this, but about 6 items my friend and I ordered off the menu were currently unavailable.
Pam at URBN was so wonderful!! We had a very large party (20+ people) and she was beyond accommodating, especially on a Saturday night. Food was delicious and service was genuine!
It was cold inside. The server must have been going through something because she would disappear for quite a while and then reappear and apologize and we were her only table. The wrong food was delivered to our table. They had an off night. It was my only time there, so I assume they usually get it right. The food was good. The atmosphere was nice, just cold.
Cool, open space. A bit loud...If you like tots, this is the place for you! Our appetizer was toasted/broiled, stuck to the paper 🤷♀️
You made my vegan soul smile 🤩 Plant based steak tacos were AMAZING but the fries were so over cooked it was a shame. The sauce they provided was gooddd though. Place was a great addition for my road trip back home, waitress was pretty quirky but I loved that about her lol
This evening we placed an order on their website for pick up. The order we received was wrong so we returned it and asked for our correct order only for them to rewrap the wrong order and give it back to us. I then went into the restaurant stating I received the wrong order two times now. I then waited another 20 minutes for the right order for them to leave out our sauces we had ordered. I did not receive an apology and will not be going back.
