It’s been about 7yrs since I was last in Portland and randomly came across this shop. It was my favorite part of my trip then, and still my favorite part of my trip this time. Great coffee, even better vibes. Lots of coffee shops to choose from but Water Avenue is a must!
Great latte and friendly service. The only downside is the slightly slower service during the morning caffeine rush.
The bergamot mocha was fabulous!
The most sower coffee ever. The staff started arguing and I couldn’t chill at all. Never come back again.
Amazing coffee! Malted mocha must try
Seasonal rose hibiscus latte was so good! Breakfast burrito and sandwich both solid. Good vibes, cool people, chill music.
My chia was good i like that they had a variety of sizes of drinks. Giving a 4 star because most of their house foods were sold out. I did come in around 12:30pm. Overall good place and nice people i.
Good coffee served by friendly people at a convenient, easy spot for meeting others in Portland Central Industrial Eastside. Sit outside at one of the picnic tables or at the bench stools inside. Plenty of on street parking, though spaces are metered. And if you want to stretch your legs get your coffee to go and walk down to the Eastbank Esplanade.
Aaron and Lu straight kill the game at Water Ave, so much love and intention in the cup, we will certainly be back for more!
I don’t usually go out to drink coffee - but was in a snap for some espresso. Staff was kind and busy, so I wanna assume it was a fluke in technique, but my shot of espresso was unbelievably sour - probably a temperature issue, but regardless, I barely got it down. Just a heads up in case you’re dropping by for a quick shot on a busy morning. Maybe grab a black coffee instead?
Coffee and the service was great. Only downside was that the inside seating is a little limited.
Great place for coffee before you hit up a local restaurant or browse City Home.
Very chill spot with a cool view of a somewhat industrial area of Portland! Right next to Bunk too. Loved the coffee and definitely quality, Broista was welcoming and chill, will definitely be back!
Let's start with the positive, the coffee was really good. However, the breakfast sandwich is just a microwaved stuff that's doesn't look very appetizing. The outside seating looks great, and it has decent indoor seating as well. Unfortunately, this part of town is overrun by homelessness and it's not really a very pleasant neighborhood.
Chill spot with a great outdoors set up. Staff is welcoming. Cute vibes all around. They do proper espresso drinks with 8 oz options and cortados. I got a matcha latte with oat milk and a breakfast wrap.
S'mores mocha was delicious! Tastes as good as it looks! Seating is limited. If you want something cozy this is not the place but more of a place to go.
This was a great experience we tried their breakfast options and they were flavorful. The best thing about this please is the pleasant atmosphere and welcoming attitude of the staff. We walked in and they made us feel as if we were regulars. They helped my family choose which coffees fit their mood, and didn’t make us feel rushed at all. I recommend this place for anyone who wants a quick pit stop for a coffee or a nice place to duck from the rain.
They recommended that we try their breakfast sandwich with vegan sausage, and I was glad I did! Their s'mores mocha is also excellent, complete with a toasted marshmallow.
Come ON. Stop microwaving your $7.50 burrito. It’s a massacre every time!
Can't recommend this company enough! We had an issue with the subscription coffee we order and Water Avenue went above and beyond with resolving it. I'm so impressed with the level of compassion and customer service they provide, let alone the delicious coffee. The brick and mortars are immaculate and the people working there are incredible. 10/10
