Portland has a wide variety of specialty roasters and this place is heads above the rest. Best coffee I have ever had by a long shot
I’ve misspoken when I posted that this business was permanently closed—it simply was not open the 5 days we were in Portland and I made a poor assumption!
So far the cutest coffee shop I've found in Portland! Such a small coffee shop, where you can seat at the bar facing the window and people watch, surrounded by beautiful succulents. The coffee is really good too, and I had some beautiful art on my cappuccino.
The Rose Honey Latte may be habit forming.
Friendly barista and delicious Americano.
On my first morning in Portland, I had the honor of getting an awesome espresso and drip to go from who I believe to be an owner of the busienss. Beautiful espresso glass and calming presence of plants really made it wonderful experience.
Total gem! Visiting from out of town and have jumped into a few coffee places, this might look understated from the outside but it was easily the best coffee we had!
I purchased a to go Americano here a few days ago. I made it a few steps out of the shop when the lid popped off and gave me 2nd degree burns down my hands and forearms. I sought medical attention for the burns and was told this coffee was well over 200 degrees to cause the extent of my injuries. I reached out to Christopher, the owner, to inform him his machine temps might be off and that the drink was well over proper serving temps. I wanted to ensure no other customers get hurt, and I told Christopher I had no intention of getting him and his staff in trouble. Christopher feels his establishment does not hold any responsibility for the health and safety of his patrons. He placed full blame on me for holding a hot drink- in a to go container designed for walking with and transporting- and told me I shouldn’t let hot liquid spill on me. He never apologized and wouldn’t answer my calls when I was attempting to voice my concerns. Christopher’s business approach feels negligent, inconsiderate, and apathetic. Please exercise caution with this business.
Always terrific service and coffee quality!
One of the best coffees in Portland. The owner is very friendly and passionate about everything coffee. They roast their beans here and it’s worth every penny. The owner also makes the most amazing lattes - milk is frothed to perfection. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Amazing coffee. Ordered a drip and a latte. Owner is earnest and lovely. The place is mid renovation but it has a lovely vibe and energy. Scone was tasty and the coffee just hits all the right flavours notes.
Small and cozy shop that offers your standard choices alongside other specialty drinks like a: — Chinese Pepper Mocha — Maple Oat Latte — Rose Honey Latte They do roast beans, although I wasn’t able to purchase any at the time :( They operate using: Decent Espresso and La Marzocco GS3 machines Chill atmosphere, not too much seating space. As of January 15, 2023, they are currently renovating so I’m excited to see what the future holds for them. Next time I’m in Portland I will have to swing by. ☕️😃
Ill say this, walking past SuperJoy on the street it doesn’t look like much. Just a friendly little coffee shop. But honestly thats why I love it. Walking in there isn’t much room but i was just grabbing some coffee to go anyways so the small interior fees cozy and intimate. The owner is friendly and fast and skilled at what they do. Making my coffee in record times and still making the perfect cup of coffee. I will definitely be returning here anytime I need a quick boost of energy before school and will gladly recommend this shop to my friends and family.
Delicious coffee. Not too sweet. But the menu could've been more exciting.
I’m really glad I went here today. SuperJoy roast and serve their own coffee. The place had a nice vibe and aesthetic, a coffee lab vibe with the roasting equipment on display makes a nice feel. I had a Latte and a taster of the drip The drip was a blend mainly Guatemalan beans with some China beans. Sweet and mellow with a Fruity finish and different levels of flavors. Very interesting to drink. I think on the lighter side. Might be the best drip I have ever had. Im very glad the barista asked me if I wanted a try…I normally avoid drips in coffee shops, The espresso was; i’m sure technically great. But it wasn’t my thing. The flavour was very nutty, overly nutty for me. Maybe walnuts maybe malt (?) if that’s a thing. It was sweet strong taste. I think the sweetness may have been assisted by the milk. It seems like the roast of the beans are always changing, since its small batch, so your experience may vary. The barista was very nice and you can buy bags of beans. I love places that are into their coffee, art, skill, craft and this place certainly is. Im sure someone who knows coffee could dork deep in here. Ill be back! great to find spots like this. So glad I walked the extra blocks away from Casestudy brown water.
Great place! Very knowledgeable owner, always warm welcome and on top of that coffee is amazing :)
I am visiting from western NY and decided to try this coffee shop on a whim. The atmosphere was generally inviting with a lot of natural lighting. I ordered a mocha latte with soy milk and it tasted delicious. Service was very fast and friendly. I could not say enough good things about my experience.
Great little Goose Hollow coffee shop. Ordered the drip and was very happy with it.
Chinese pepper mocha was the perfect way to warm up on a freezing morning! So wonderfully spicy and well made.
Amazing coffee, very cool and unique spot 🧪
