My daily coffee. Sometimes twice daily…coffee in the morning, lovely matcha in the pm. Friendly and skilled baristas, a wonderful indie owner. Don’t sleep on their chocolate chip shortbread!

Among the best matcha I've tasted. Great pastry too! Thanks.

This review is long overdue, I have been a huge fan of prince coffee for years. They serve fabulous coffees typically from Heart, Roseline, or Proud Mary, with a number of guest roasters making appearances. I typically come for the coffee, however their pastries are pretty great as well. While I am sad to hear their stroopwafels are a thing of the past, they were the best in the city, made fresh daily, it is understandable with how time consuming they were to make and the amount of waste resulting from unsold inventory at the end of the day. Nevertheless, they do a great job. Props to Katie and her team.

Pretty good coffee and vibe, but on my last visit the barista was particularly surly and apparently indifferent to customer orientation which made tipping for “service” a challenge. I’ll try again sometime in the hope that that was a one-off.

I found it hard to be really impressed with Prince Coffee. The staff seemed fairly overwhelmed, and the drip and espresso I received didn't have any excessive astringency or anything, but I found them to be somewhat lackluster. I will say that it's a cute shop with ample seating. The location is nice and parking was easy to find.

Full disclosure, I'm not a choice drinker. I got the Chai and was very much so not a fan. Not like any Chai I've had before. Was meeting with a friend and this is his stomping grounds. My biggest concern was looking around the place, the thick dirty coating on the ductwork.... running right over to of all good and drink prep areas. While it may be possible this isn't an issue, I can only imagine that on any windy day it would get stirred up any time the door opens and lets a gust in. Makes me wonder what I might be drinking/ eating that I hadn't planned on. I will most likely not be back.

Coffee was good, the special flavors are interesting and they also have a good selection of teas and pastries. I ordered the orange maple latte and it didn’t taste particularly orange-y or maple-y. However, I came in specifically for the stroopwafel and was disappointed that it wasn’t available. No indication on the website as to when it is available, and the A-frame sign up front still says they sell it. Just felt like it was false advertising. I’ve been a fan of Prince since they had a location in Kenton, but it just doesn’t feel like they care about what made them so popular and beloved from the start.

Good coffee experience. I was a fan of their old location and I honestly think I enjoyed that physical space more, but that’s just my preference. The staff and environment were busy during our visit (weekday, lunch time) but our order still came out quick. I got the stroop latte as an homage to their old stroop waffle offerings. It bums me out they don’t sell them anymore even though the waffles have a strong prominence in their brand and branding strategies. The latte was well made and did indeed taste like a waffle.

Good coffee, okayyy pastries, but more importantly they quite disruptively begin shutting the coffee shop down 45 minutes before closing, slinging chairs around, freezing us all out by leaving the front door open, taking your cups, closing the whole place around you, and making it quite uncomfortable to be in the shop for the last hour. If i’d done that at any coffee shop or restaurant I’ve worked at I’d have been reminded that it’s quite rude to everyone supporting you by being there and buying coffee. Seriously it’s freezing in here, and it’s 3:31

Awesome coffee served up from a variety of top roasters, like proud Mary, heart, and methodical. Pastries and sandwiches are also great, and the vibes are immaculate.

Good coffee, but came for the stroop waffles and was disappointed to find out they don't actually serve stroop waffles full time. Only on "special occasions"

Prince Coffee easily had the best coffee that my partner and I tasted during our trip to Portland, and we visited a dozen coffee shops. Their espresso was just dialed right in and my partner loved her chai drink. Really couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Coffee good. Definitely their specialty! Sandwich…not that good. The cashew pesto breakfast sandwich was microwaved…English muffin and all. The egg is pre-made , and i think they slap the whole thing together pre-made then microwave-to-order. Stick to the coffee .
