Java latte is very good 8/10 Place is nice and cosy
beautiful design, spacious and friendly staff. but the disgusting taste of coffee, pungent and bitter, is impossible to drink.

the coffee isn’t that good and one of the staff i had an interaction with was kinda rude. the only really good thing about this place is the atmosphere and you can get better elsewhere. also— when i asked for the code to the restroom, the person (kenny i think they said their name was) just said “i don’t know” and didn’t even follow up with another employee to ask. i sat there for several moments while they did nothing until i finally asked for assistance by another person (john) who was pretty polite. they said that they’re kinda new which explains why he’s wouldn’t know the code but still isn’t an excuse to ignore customers..
Screw Starbucks; this is the place to be! Java Man is a beautiful establishment run by a local Portland family. It opened and operates in a manner true to the Portland spirit: delicious coffee, amazing food, and even better company. The space itself is lush an full of natural light and tons of live plants. Seating options include everything from couches to bar stools, very comfortable if you want to use a laptop at a table or chat with friends in an armchair.
This is the most beautiful coffee house in the world. I’m so glad they’re back in this new location. I hate downtown Portland but if I have to be here, I always come to Java Man for the friendly faces, coffee and to admire the exquisite plant collection. Like a museum ☺️

My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place. He visited Portland for the first time in July of 2021 and we came a couple times, always ordered the BLT. He’s visiting again in March of 2023 and the cashier recognized him immediately, greeted us by name the next time we came in. Their milkshakes are delicious, and while I haven’t tried the coffee, their croissant BLT is to die for. Absolutely recommend.

By far the best coffee shop in downtown Portland. I work nearby and every-time I come in, which is 2-3 times a week, the service is always top notch and friendly! Especially the mother and son duo. I love the decor and the music. The plants are a beautiful therapeutic touch to the coffee shop and they sell them too! Thank you Java Man
I was a tourist and not very good at English, but they were very accommodating. Great customer service, delicious bagels and lattes, it was awesome. ARIGATO!
This place was an unexpected great find. Awesome cappuccinos and a 'tropical' atmosphere. You like plants? Tons of plants around and mostly all for sale. Come grab a Cappy and find a plant to take home to boot!
Really good atmosphere and coffee
Great ambience, coffee matching the Portland standards, friendly service. Matcha latte is also good. A place where you can relax and forget for a while. They could work on the quality of the pastries, but one is to picky, one can get some at St Honore across the street an get back here for the coffees.
Love this place! Breakfast is great and the tea infusions are delicious. Perfect place to have near your work! They sell plants too which is a nice touch
Plants all over clean good coffee
The only thing nicer than the coffee here were the people working here. Delicious coffee which was only rivaled by their fantastic plants. Oh and they had a fantastic assortment of breakfast options!
