I guess I was just expecting a lot more but it just felt a bit cold and disconnected. The coffee quality seemed good but the construction was not great. The space was cold and not very inviting at all. I felt rushed and have no desire to go back, there is no draw. There might be something I'm missing but this was my experience for this location.
The vibes and people at this location are 10/10! I came to visit heart from out of town and they made me feel welcome and answered all the questions I had. Their Colombian espresso was killer! Definitely recommended :)
Great vibe in this local coffee roaster. Not a ton of food/pastry options, but the single origin espresso we tried was incredible
Great coffee. No wifi here now days.
Serving great tasting coffee, ample seating with an open space design, very clean shop. Although I can only visit them on special occasions due to cost being a bit on the high side. But hey - you got to treat yourself sometimes.
Heart has great coffee! One of my favorite spots. Always consistent and friendly people. I swing by here every time I get my haircut!
Known for their coffee, you have to be serious to appreciate this place. If you are not into the coffee scene, it won't make sense - the prices, the aesthetic. However, if you are in the know, it's a destination.
High quality espresso drinks and very nice pastries in a clean, open space.
I always get drip coffee or espresso when I come here. Nothing but black coffee or espresso. I'm convinced the roasters perform some kind of wizardry on their beans to make it taste so clean and complex. They roast very light and so it's not always a hit for customers expecting the roasty notes but if you want to taste your coffee instead of your roast, Heart is one of the best for sure. I also love that their Instagram account is heavily farm focused, highlighting the coffee growers that they have a relationship with instead of just exclusively focusing on their cafés and latte art. It portrays lots of humility, and I love that! Best coffee in Portland in my humble opinion.
Best coffee in Portland! Relaxing music, beautiful interior and great coffee
Tasty coffee and plenty of other options, great space and music. Great place to meet up and get a coffee.
Favorite coffee shop in Portland. Always really nice staff and one of the best cold brews I’ve ever had.
I have been looking for some good European coffee since moving to Portland from Munich Germany and this place is hands down the best coffee I have found in the city!
My favorite place to drink the best and get work done!
Can be pretty good but espresso tends to be sour or bitter. $6 latte should taste better than this. Edit: espresso is strong but inconsistent. Rarely perfect. Seems like the grind is often off, resulting in sourness or bitterness even in milk drinks. This combined with the highest prices in town is a drag.
Indoor seatings are allowed now!
Fine location. There's no wifi (per their policy). Not a pro or a con. Just a heads up.
One of the best coffee joints... I have been visiting them everytime I am in Portland. Do try their Mocha / Oat Milk Latte..
Solid cup of filter, but would be nice to have more than one option. They obviously have many single origin offerings, so 1 choice seems little limited.
This place is trash! Don’t waste your time or your money on this nasty coffee and rude service! Was trying it and regret it fully. It’s awkward and sad in there and the product and staff reflect it 100% yikes. I literally poured my coffee out once I walked around the corner it was that bad. What a waste!
