I lived in the apartment upstairs. The owner's a good dude. As of 2018, at least!
Smoothies have key ingredients, but aren’t blended with ice so are served tepid. I have ordered smoothies from the menu and have also custom-ordered smoothies in which I ask for extra banana. They taste good. Hot sandwiches are microwaved.
Delicious French toast coffee, slightly cat-like and surly barista, cool setting. What more could you ask of a cat themed coffee place. The interior is filled with comfy, thrift store looking couches and antiques. Very cool atmosphere. Love this place
Good relax vibes
A classic PDX cafe with one of the best breakfast burritos in town, you seriously cannot go wrong with the Ocelot Burrito. The barista is always insanely nice, and makes amazing coffee and food. The cafe itself is cozy, with a mish mash of couches, chairs and tables to sit at, while being inviting and a peaceful spot to set up a computer or read a book.
Just had the coziest morning at The Flying Cat Cafe ☕❄️ There's nothing quite like sipping on a hot cup of coffee while watching the snow fall outside. The ambiance here is simply perfect for a lazy day. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area! 😍🐱
Eclectic, cute, and cat themed everywhere. Comfortable seating options and great wifi. Perfect for a coffee house laptop work/study session. Organic ingredients and well priced. One $11 breakfast burrito kept me full all day. Parking on Division is difficult. I recommend parking on the residential side streets.
Unbelievably, this cafe is staffed entirely by cats with wings.
Super cozy, definitely a must go if you like cats and/or coffee. Love this place
My go to breakfast spot! Delicious food and very affordable. Would recommend the build your own Purrito- they are always good and provide vegan/veg options :) Very cute cafe inside as well.
The absolute best local spot for coffee, great breakfast (with vegan options) and locally made bagels and baked goods. So many goodies I'd go every day if I could!
My fave coffee shop in Portland!! Espresso is great, and their specialty drinks are really unique. We tried the pumpkin spice latte with real pumpkin and it was AMAZING. Price is also really affordable, and the vibe is amazing. Very relaxed. This place is one of a kind :) 10/10. Also highly recommend the ragamuffins and smoothies!
When I came to Portland two months ago, I was crashing with a friend in the Mt Scott area. I quickly fell in love with Henry Higgins bagels. My friend is in the process of revamping a house near Flying Cat Coffee Co. I was initially sad because I thought I'd be too far from Henry Higgins. Today was my first morning I needed coffee at the new place. According to photos on here, Flying Cat Coffee Co uses bagels from Henry Higgins!! I waltzed over to check them out. I loved the entire vibe of Flying Cat Coffee Co! The inside feels like a relaxed lounge and the outside seating area feels like hanging out on your own porch! I ordered the Persian bagel, French Toast latte, cinnamon roll, and Suphalak smoothie. When they totalled it up, I thought they missed something because it was so affordable! Everything was so perfect I don't think I could pick my fav out of the four items. Also want to add that they didn't skimp on the avocado for the bagel. Yum! 🤤 The staff that took me order was chill and not pushy too. Definitely will be back! 💯 Update: Had their scones and muffins since last review. Both are great! Better than most I've had.
One of the best tasting coffees in Portland they have Shoofly (vegan bakery) pastries and vegan sandwiches/burritos anddd locally made bagels they have fun seasonal drinks it's very cute/cozy inside & the barista with the long hair is nice & speedy love this place
Our first time to experience Flying Cat Coffee. Good cappuccinos and I have the ‘Dinah’ an open face bagel with avocado, black beans, tomato, and red onion. It cam on a jalapeño bagel… it was the bomb! Highly recommend.
it's kind of dirty and they are a bit slow. I just don't get the appeal
One of the best coffee houses in Portland. Nice local shop, good specials, great atmosphere. Lots of couches and board games, a good place to relax.
Good place, just don't order iced drinks here. Been other times and got hot and it was much better, this time ordered an iced green tea latte and it was slightly milky water with the faintest hint of green tea. Not great. Go with something hot.
Chartreux bagel was so good. My kid ate more of it than I got to! Whole family enjoyed the cinnamon roll and the black licorice latte really hit the spot. Well be back for sure.
A cat themed coffee shop. The sitting area feels like a living room with couches and chairs.
