Great little spot! Good coffee and the food item I ordered was great (avocado/hummus toast). They were cool about letting me modify the toppings on it - very cool as well.
I enjoy the high ceilings and plants and coffee. Parking is difficult, prices are a bit of a stretch, and seating can be uncomfortable & difficult. It does become very busy so they are definitely doing a lot of things right.
A Portland gem, hip decor and staff. An obituary for coffee unless you enjoy coffee colored water in a cup with a sweet sticker.
Look at this beautiful banana and peanut butter toast! I think this photo says it all. Love their coffee too! Definitely recommend.
Your everyday, overpriced west coast coffee shop with decent coffee and a good playlist.
I won’t be returning here. Staff was rude which was off-putting. While the coffee was okay: when you compare the offerings & pricing of other nearby cafes, you’d be better off going somewhere else.
I went in there a few days ago and whoever served me was the rudest person I’ve ever met, didn’t get to catch their name but from the poor service alone I wouldn’t recommend going there, not worth the mental trouble
Great array of coffee choices and pastries and they have just started an art exhibit by local artist inside their shop!
Nice coffee shop, great customer service. Good food and a nice place to sit with your computer if you need to work
Nice coffee shop, but I was not impressed with your namesake Fairlane coffee, very average
Great experience. Love the atmosphere.
Mediocre coffee, people were really nice though. Not a big fan of the seating but I kinda do not really like the industrial look and thats kind of a personal preference. I think its a nice neighborhood coffee shop but not someplace I would go out of my way for.
salmon toast has changed from a smoked salmon to a lox salmon and overall not worth getting anymore
One of the BEST spots for coffee in Portland—a total surprise. If you like good black coffee then head here—they use Onyx coffee (perhaps the best roaster in the county) and are the only place in Portland (as far as I’m aware) to do so. INCREDIBLE. Humble staff, great barista training and education. Hope their food menu also grow and improves. Has so much promise and again, OUTSTANDING coffee and kind staff.
Beautifully made espresso. Excellent customer service.
drip coffee was pretty thin and watery. I know espresso and pour over is way more hip or something, but I'm not. maybe something can be done about that
I used to be a regular here. Lately though, food is not as fresh as it used to be and they take forever. I won’t be coming here as often anymore. It really depends who is working there. Not consistent
Ordered a drip coffee, literally tastes like hot water, without any coffee. nice ambiance, friendly service.
A local coffee shop. I choose them cuz their beans are the best! And it's walkable to my house and they have treats for my dogs.
staff is nice and the service is speedy. no complaints there at all. that being said, i wouldn’t say there’s much worth getting here except some of the toasts. the espresso doesnt taste like much, and i wouldn’t be able to distinguish the flavor as ‘chocolate’ for their mochas unless specifically told so - pretty bad. ive tried ordering it a couple times in hope that they’ve modified the recipe, but nope. the lattes are fine, though, if a little bland. very spendy, but not terribly unusual for portland
