Fantastic Cortados and Macchiatos! Also enjoy the pastries and concha. The excellent service is the icing on top!
i had a house coffee was good. this coffee shop is in a warehouse area with seating outside and inside kool spot to hang out.
Gorgeous coffee, nice pastries and great service/atmosphere. I wish they had more savory options, but I’ll be back even if they don’t. The signature drink is amazing!
Enjoyed a iced coffee here before venturing into schoolhouse electric. Beautiful old building with cool industrial architecture. Loved the ceilings!!! Coffee 4/5.
I used to live in the neighborhood and would spend mornings and weekends here when it was Ristretto Roasters. This was a decade ago and Naito would be deserted and empty on the weekends. You could jog down Naito and not see a car for minutes. Schoolhouse Electric would host Egg Press’ yearly $1 card sale. The whole area felt relaxed and quiet before all of the riverside development.
Stopped in for a brew to go and ended up buying some dark roast beans of theirs. Best dark roast I've had. Free drip coffee with a bag of beans, too! Really nice barista and a great, open atmosphere
A great space with delicious lattes. I love that there is no up charge for milk alternatives!
Love this cute and quaint coffee shop. The setting is in an industrial area and it’s attached to a home store which is always fun to browse coffee in hand :) Tasty coffee and pastries 👌🏽
Saikyo latte ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - the caramel miso made it really delicious - tiny bit of seasame
I stopped into Electrica to grab coffee and chat with a friend today and I’m so glad that I did! It is a visually gorgeous shop serving excellent coffee and pastries. I ordered the “Saikyo Latte,” a house specialty made with miso caramel - very unique, delicious, subtle and not too sweet flavor. They had a great spread of local Mexican-style pastries and I went with a concha-esque muffin sprinkled with strawberry sugar. I typically find conchas to be too dry for my taste but this had an excellent texture and moisture to the dough, so I really enjoyed it. Everything seemed hyper local and artisan. I didn’t stay too long but the space is expansive, not too busy and quiet so I would definitely come back to do work. Highly recommend - and of course you can’t go wrong taking a gander into the beautiful Schoolhouse Electric space in the same building for some interior design shopping & inspo too.
Cute cafe with nice seating! Perfect place to do some work/studying. Their matcha latte was really good! They also have pastries but go earlier in the day before they run out. Nice bathrooms!
Good coffee, but they ripped me off: $6 for a small iced mocha?
Loved Electrica coffee. They have an amazing space that is cozy and spacious, perfect for spending some time with friends or getting some work/reading done. Baristas are friendly and polite, and coffee quality is on par with the Portland standard. Definitely saving this location.
The coffee and atmosphere is good. But i came on Saturday and there was only one person serving coffee which is made even small line very slow
Cafe con Leche is so good! Also, it's a super cute spot
So grateful to have the Schoolhouse Electric café space reopened! Electrica serves great coffee and tea lattés, and a plentiful assortment of locally-made baked goods to accompany. The best (and only!) place for good coffee in Northwest Industrial, I’ve been visiting at least once a week and the baristas are always prompt and cheerful. Strongly recommend the hojicha latté and staring up at the gigantic timber beams and old school light fixtures while you wait!
Great coffee, bomb pan, friendly service.
What a gem! Cozy and welcoming space. Get the Hojicha latte w/oat milk and a lil sweet empanada treat- my fav! This place is inside of Schoolhouse Electric, so you are able to walk and get home design inspo and maybe pickup a lil something on your way out too!
Located in the industrial NW district and worth the drive. We tried the miso caramel latte, cafe con leche, and straight espresso. Espresso has great crema and citrus notes, so it makes all their coffee uniquely Electrica! The miso caramel starts off savory because of the miso and finishes with the sweet caramel notes. You can taste the freshness in the coffee and syrups. Lastly, they have pan dulce! And not just any sweet bread, this is modern pan dulce with unique ingridients like poverlized strawberry sugar cuerno, sesame cotija cheese pan, and brown butter concha, which elevate this bread adding to the layers of flavor. They have a limited supply of pan dulce so get there early! Will be back to try all the teas, which also look amazing.
Everything we had was amazing! We had the café con leche, miso caramel latte, and some pan dulce. All it it was fresh and tasty, espresso was so good and perfectly balanced in the lattes. Service was quick and friendly. The space is beautiful with really chill vibes.
