Been coming here 10 years this month. Love the coffee. Love the cookie. Love the feel of the place. Love everything about it. Please support small businesses.

Excellent coffee and excellent baked goods. Just not a lot of space inside, so plan on sitting outside if it's busy.

This is BY FAR the best coffee/espresso in Portland. We visited once, and came back everyday. He roasts his own beans and makes all the pastry in house. Pastry is dead on, not too sweet, and flavorful. The interior is quintessential millennium rustic, clean, and fresh (flowers on table, record player in background). You will do yourself a disservice if you do not come here. BTW check my other review I NEVER give 5 stars across the board...this place deserves it.

Such a cute coffee shop! Right by Sizzle Pie, near Powell's. This place makes an excellent latte. They have a medium sized menu and handmade Japanese food. I also got the chocolate cookies and they were delicious.

Best iced vanilla latte I have ever had. They make their own vanilla syrup and use vanilla beans. Delicious!

An amazing place!! Great coffee and pastries. Very friendly staff. Owner is very knowledge and enthusiastic about coffee. Very committed to high quality coffee and food items. I drink drip coffee and buy beans here. Always impressed with quality. A very low-key, friendly vibe if you are enjoying your drink or food at the cafe.

Delicious latté. Excellent flavor. Well executed. Definitely needs a higher rating than 4.6. Indulge in the fresh pear muffin if you have the opportunity.

Cute little coffee shop that roasts its own coffee. With three tables inside it’s definitely small, but a great atmosphere. Thelonius Monk was spinning on the record player and local art decorated the wall. I ordered a Ginger + Milk with espresso added. The homemade ginger and vanilla syrup they use is delicious. Contrary to most gingery drinks, it still has bite and the ginger flavor - something I love as it’s hard to find elsewhere. I’ll definitely be back!

A bit cramped, but a cute location. We were there for Soen, which shares the location with Courier. Food was delicious. The dango was soft and not too sweet, and the roll was delightfully flavorful with a slightly sweetened egg and pickled veggies. The tea (not shown) was light in flavor. Friendly staff. I'm looking forward to visiting in the summer for their shaved ice!

Their "dining" area isn't as big as it used to be, but their Japanese offerings are amazing! (I can't speak for the coffee as I'm not a big coffee drinker, unfortunately.) I had their dango and futomaki (fat sushi roll recently. Oishii~!

This place is definitely Portland in nature. Used to be a nice neighborhood but obviously Portland is facing some difficult times ahead. If you can catch them open the experience is worth the trip. Always sort of militant in nature, cluttered and boxy. Always something to see on the streets.

We visited this place for a hot chocolate because it was snowing. Its a small cozy place. It doesn’t have place for more than 6-8 people to sit. They even make shave ice milk. But when we tried hot chocolate, we really didn’t like it, it didn’t have sugar and the taste of chocolate wasn’t good felt like they diluted a lot. We didn’t try any coffee and I don’t know how is the coffee here and also there are some pastries too. But for hot chocolate I am giving 3star.

They have VERY GOOD kakigori (Japanese shaved ice)! As if their excellent coffee selection wasn’t enough. And incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can’t recommend enough.

This is like legit the best shaved ice I've had thats not in Hawaii. I ordered the strawberry anko mochi shaved ice. It was such good flavor combo and the mochi is really soft and chewy. As for the shaved ice itself, it was actually really fine and good, almost on par with Hawaii shaved ice. The flavor compared to Hawaii was a lot more natural using strawberry's and red bean, but hawaii had more flavor options. Only thing I didn't like was how they only put the flavor at the top, so when we got all the way down there was no flavor left. ☕ For the coffee, I myself am not a big fan of coffee in general at all so I took one sip and called it quits haha.
