Excellent large, open, rustic-feeling space in the heart of a busy neighborhood. The large windows are perfect for people watching out of while studying.

Not too special of a coffee shop, but it's in a great location for college students and the staff has always been welcoming and chill whenever I went there. They have multiple seating options even with a table that could probably fit 10. Also, the interior aesthetics and window views are pretty generic.

I had the best spinach ricotta croissant/danish-type thing here — super flakey, buttery crust and such a perfect filling. They get their baked goods from Fleur de Lis Bakery on NE Hancock. It was so good I went back for seconds. Also, the barista here is beyond friendly and, though I didn’t have a coffee, I saw him make many and it looks (and sounds, from the comments of happy customers) like he does a stellar job.

Visiting Portland from California, I was on a mission to try as many coffee houses as I could in 5 days. Coffeehouse-5 did not disappoint! I went in late afternoon so there was absolutely no line. I ordered a mocha, which wasn't too sweet but just enough and a chocolate chip cookie (which looked more like a muffin top). Both were definitely delicious! They had one book, (Roadside Americana, a book which I found interesting enough to order for myself). There was a cool vintage vibe yet the atmosphere and decor were modern, sustainable and warm.

Friendly staff and great cup of coffee, couldn't have asked for more.

Quick service. Clarified milk preference. Got my order right. Great tasting product! Pretty vacant, open atmosphere. Prices everywhere are rising and this is no exception.

Person making drink was a kick. Delicious dirty chai and bagels were perfect. Would highly recommend this low key chill spot with great staff. Thank you colored hair petit person who made my day!!

Restroom was present but difficult to flush. Walked out before I could get coffee — the line was barely moving, the barista looked annoyed and was working alone, and there were unstable folks inside causing a disruption. Maybe consider relieving the poor barista with another employee or two?

Every component is better than what you'd typically get. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town

Every barista I’ve ever been serviced by looks like they’d rather be doing literally anything else than serving me. The coffee isn’t super great, it’s not bad though. The place never seems clean either… but there’s like this whole vibe to it. Even the rudeness. It’s always consistent, just like I’ll be consistent at returning. Highly recommend

Why are you even open if you can't take someone's order, you should close your doors and let someone else open a real coffee place, or at least fire your manager and hire some of the knows what they're doing. You need to focus on customer service and you have none. Who knows if the copies good you can't even place an order.

Took my mom here and she was highly impressed with their service. The gentleman who helped her, asked what her definition was of a flat-white "so he could be sure to make it how she wanted it". The coffee came out perfect for her with the right ratios and excellent flavor.

Quick service. Didn't love the flavor of the latte. The latte also was not as hot as I would have liked.

Amazing space! Me and my partner love the atmosphere and the kindness! Our daughter loves the accepting staff, as we do, so thank you!!
