Good food, but literally every staff member was rude. I wasn’t gonna post til I saw other people saying the exact same thing. The entire vibe of the staff was “get out”. Rolled their eyes and huffed and puffed over every word from every customer.
Third time I've gone in the last three months where they've completely messed up my order. It used to be a really great spot for cheap yummy food but now it's just rude customer service, burnt Bagels and forgotten ingredients. Really disappointing.
Very good bagels. Nice crunch on the outside and soft and pillowy on this inside. The bagel sandwiches are also excellent.
Not very good catering and yet I asked for smoked salmon on a bagel and only one bagel had smoked salmon but it was tasting good
Meh. Service was slowish and rudish. Food is average.
Avery made me THE BEST SMOOTHIE IN THE WORLD this morning and it really made my day! 10/10 good vibes 100/10 smoothies! We love Freshies!!!
I planned a trip on the Mt Hood Railroad for my family and wanted to pick something up before we boarded. I looked this place up before hand and love the menu. (I don't eat pork and loved that they had other meat options +veggie sausage!) Friendly staff, lady taking our order was patient waiting for us all to decide...... plus hubby added on extras right at the end, lol. We even we back after only ordering breakfast bagels, to order one of their tasty juices. I felt as if I were missing out on something because everyone else around me had a drink. We order some amazing blend of Watermelon, apples and mint. It was wonderful. I could drink one of those all day, everyday! I only put a quarter in the meter for parking which got us 15 minutes, that's how I know they were quick, we got back to the cars with time to spare. I wish I lived closer cuz this place is a new fave!
I was excited to try it all, first time. Maybe we got there right after rush, but the sarcastic attitude from the person who greeted me was off putting. I made my order and noticed the juice section/menu off in the other corner, so I asked " do I order juice from you as well?" and then was answered with more sarcastic attitude, maybe to him I did ask the worlds dumbest question, idk. Ignoring it all, just placed my order and moved on. Got my named called for the juice and once I grabbed my juice, I got my name called for my bagel order, then while walking over to grab it, my name was called a second time tho now with utter annoyance and disdain. That's when I was taken back even further... is this just the vibe in this shop? Pure annoyance? Once I got the food, ok for the first couple bites (a grocery store bagel at best), then ice cold in the middle, they didn't heat it up enough. cheese wasn't even melted it was still fridge cold. I contemplated several times going in to ask for either a refund or a new hot sandwich, tho based on my experience just seconds prior, I decided to call it a loss. The juice was good, and the person making the juice was nice! Hence the "1" star.
The New Yorker bagel + lox was a divine treat that we can't find often around here! Well worth the stop. Our tropical smoothie was also refreshing and delicious.
The entire staff here seems great! Special shout out to Aliyah for making the most delicious smoothie!!
roast beef sandwich was so good!!! every ingredient tasted fresh and flavorful. friendly service and a cool atmosphere. i will definitely come back next time i’m in hood river!!
The New Yorker is always my favorite bagel in the Hood 🔥
The bagel freshie sandwich here was jusy insanely good. It was so good we went back to order another to go for a snack later in the day.
Great food and our dogs are welcome outside.👍
Great bagels...great staff..
For the price it's amazing. The only place I found with good food at a reasonable price in hood River
Yes yes yes. I will be going here every time I go to hood river
Great fresh bagels. Butter or cream cheese options in the $3 range. Loaded up in the $8 to $9 range. Nice atmosphere.
Freshies should be called anything but fresh, I had a New York bagel for $15 it was sparse on the fresh dill,, the onions were so thick it was awkward to eat the bagel was put together in such a hap hazard way that it wasn't meant to be a good experience. My wife ordered the Grateful Veggie + Egg and the egg either had been pre-cooked or over cooked as the center was grey and she described it as rubbery. The bagels were tough and dry despite having cream cheese on them didn't do much to help. Lastly the coffee the ultimate rip off, you order a large coffee for almost $5 and you might as well order a small because they only fill it half way! And top it the rest of the way with foam. I would never recommend anyone go to this establishment.
Best bagels and bagel sandwiches in the PNW
