One of my favorite coffee shops in downtown Hood River. Usually quite and very relaxed vibe with plenty of seating and table space to work on your laptop. The chai latte is my go-to.

We stopped in to grab coffee on the way to our Vendor event, and although finding parking was entertaining on a Friday morning, the ladies running the place were super sweet and the served Coava Coffee, which is a favorite! It was obviously a place where people came to chill and work and is larger than it looks on the outside with a super cozy atmosphere.

Not great. I love trying new coffee stores on my travels but the espresso in my cortado was burnt or the machine needed a clean. The muffin was also not all that, small and dry for the price.

The best coffee shop in the gorge, serving up Coava, a personal favorite. A Hood River hub!

This place was a lot better than expected. I was skeptical before going in as it looked kind of rundown from the outside and even when going to the website you can't even pull up a menu. Fortunately I went in and saw that this place is actually really cool with the nice layout and friendly service. I had a caramel latte that was good along with bacon and egg quiche and strawberry gluten free muffin. Both of those were tasty. They didn't have a condiment area with sleeves, sugar, stir sticks, etc. Bottom line, freshen up the outside, get a good online website and have a condiment station and you'll be great!!

Great environment, super friendly staff, nice couch, great coffee, good wifi, exquisite restroom key. If I lived in Portland, I would almost live in this place. Highly recommended. I found it easy to park nearby during a holiday weekend.

The interior is not the most beautiful, but the coffee and service are excellent!

I can’t believe I’ve never been to Dog River Coffee before today. I think I’ve hit every coffee shop in Hood River, but missed Dog River until now! What a pleasant surprise, large space, plenty of tables, can accommodate wheelchairs. I loved every minute of my experience, from the barista’s welcome, to my drink and GF chocolate muffin. This shop is a staple in town for the last 17 years! Go check it out! I highly recommend the cardamom caramel latte. It was well balanced and not too sweet and the cardamom flavor really came through. 🥰 I will definitely be stopping back in the next time I’m in the Gorge.

Coffee was pretty good, but the barista (who I think was the owner) was incredibly rude to the other barista working. It was pretty busy, but people were patiently waiting, the owner stormed away from the counter, went and found the other barista and in front of all the customers said *in a loud voice for everyone to hear* “that was WAY too long, I should not have to come find you”. After I ordered my lattes, the owner continued to speak to the other barista behind the counter in a rude tone in front of customers about how furious she was at her for “taking too long”- doing what I’m not sure. Uncomfortable situation for customers and clearly not a professional owner- or whoever the rude barista was. I might also add we went to the coffee shop maybe 30 min prior, with our two dogs, and almost walked in, but decided to get lunch first. The same barista at this time said “oh they can come in to order” but I responded with “no worries it’s okay!” So when we returned after lunch, we brought them in, (because she had told us prior it was okay to order with them). As we were in line she yelled “unless your dogs are service animals they are not allowed inside per Oregon law”. Which we obviously know dogs most the time aren’t allowed in food places, but 30 min prior she had told us to bring them in. Overall a confusing and uncomfortable situation.

Possibly the worst service in America. So rude. My friend ordered my coffee while I was talking to my doctor ahead of a surgery I have scheduled for Monday They misunderstood the order even though she gave exact details. Then when she told them what they made wasn't quite right they told her I needed to get off the phone to order my coffee WTH..
