These guys know coffee, which is why their beans are being served at many of the best coffee shops. Love that we have a cool, family operated coffee roastery/ walk up window in Beaverton. You can meet a different Thornton every day, either at the window, serving bomb (real) cappuccinos and other drinks, or in the back, roasting beans to perfection. Take home some of their beans, and I guarantee you'll be back for more!

Window only, no seating. Best coffee in the Beaverton area with many roasted options to take home too! You can also bring your own cup if that's your cup of tea (or coffee ha).

Lovely drive-by/walk-up window shop for my morning coffee! Their beans always taste fresh and service is very friendly. Portland’s got a fair amount of high quality coffee shops but Thornton’s is definitely an underrated gem. Go check them out!

I stopped into Thornton’s on a walk recently and wanted to see what it was about. The baristas were SO friendly and welcoming, you could tell they love working here. I picked up a bag of their beans as well as a large cold brew — I usually gauge a coffee shop by their cold brew — and I was happily surprised at how smooth and mellow their cold brew is. I made my first pot of coffee with the beans and they proved to make an equally tasty drink. I’ll absolutely be coming back to try the different varieties of beans that they sell!

Always greeted with a smile and enthusiasm. Great coffee and pastries. The location is a little hidden but worth the find. Will be back. Highly recommend 👌

It was just another Friday. Traffic that's nothing to stress about until you realize you've moved an entire mile in the last 10 minutes. The rain relentlessly poured over the city. An answer to the prayers of many who were seeking a cleanse of bad decisions. Though others felt temporary comfort from the falsities of this idea, I found the only thing cleansed was my Honda Civic. A numbing gaze over a sea of red lights muddled my brain. Lost for a moment, my mind snapped back to reality, thanks to the suit in the blacked out Mercedes behind me. I inched forward. So did the Mercedes. A sudden feeling of walls closing in began to boil under the surface of a Mom who always kept her cool. The exit home still sat miles ahead. A distance I couldn't fathom enduring. With my spirit beginning to sink, a beacon of hope illuminated on my GPS. An international symbol of energy, motivation, and a Friday night lasting longer than 9PM. The little Coffee cup sat just beyond the closest exit, and it called to me. I didn't hesitate to reroute as my new destination awaited my arrival. Only minutes away from where I sat decaying in traffic stood a curious building. A quick eye would miss that this shop has a coffee shop situated around its corner. The name, painted in black, confirmed I wasn't lost. Thornton Coffee, along with an arrow, directed me where to go. I parked my car and found my way around the corner. The all-consuming aroma of freshly ground coffee slipped gracefully from the open walk-up window and into my nose. A sensation of precise flavors & exotic notes danced within me as my mind drifted beyond the here & now. As I approached the window, my heart fluttered as I realized there's no line. A latte, being my usual at any coffee shop, somehow seemed insipid today. A quick glance at the shops menu was all it took. "An 8oz Spicy Mexican Mocha, please." The gentleman, kind and quick, processed my payment and began his Java wizardry. As I waited, my attention was held by the fre

I bought a couple bags of beans from Thornton in Beaverton. They’re a small, family owned coffee roaster but I think they’re coffee is a good as some of the big boys in Portland such as Stumptown, Coava and Water Ave. Got a bag of Las Rosas (Colombia) and bag of Concord, got a Hazelnut Latte as well.

Best Roasters in Beaverton (better than most in PDX), in my opinion. Always clean. Informative staff. Small batch. Good people. Must try, even the customers are fun.

Thornton's is the best coffee around, make no mistake. There's a reason other coffee shops use it!

Got a couple shots of espresso over ice so I could add a protein shake. Coffee was good, earthy aftertaste. Staff was really friendly, parking is difficult as the business faces the side of the street. You can only park on one side of the street which is difficult. I parked at an adjacent business for convenience.
