Good tasting ice coffee in this hot weather
Nice shop. Staff was friendly. I got a cortado. It was made right (not too much milk), but flavor was average.
I come back to The Flying Joe every time I'm in the Toledo area for work. The coffee is amazing and the bakery options always hit the spot. Not to mention, the staff is incredibly friendly!! I highly recommend.
Love the food and coffee but it is always a long wait. Even with mobile orders, it's usually a 30+ min wait if you have food. Just have to plan to come on a day you don't have anywhere to be
The Flying Joe is fast becoming my new favorite coffee house! The drinks are awesome and the have new creative blends that change with the seasons - my favorites being the Love Bug and Orange Blossom Latte ( which is addicting!). The baristas and other staff members are always very friendly, upbeat, and knowledgeable about their products. However, be warned - this place is popular so it can get busy - especially if you want a table inside as many people are there studying. Take out is relatively fast. It's a must try place and I think you won't regret it!
The coffee is always great. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast sandwiches are absolutely delicious. I always get a breakfast sandwich with garlic aioli, the garlic aioli can be messy, so be careful eating in the car. This place is usually crowded and can a little loud but the noise is worth the product. This is a go to place for me when I have visitors from out of town.
I just went for the first time today. I'm sad to say I did not enjoy my visit. There was a girl making drinks who stuck her finger in her mouth to lick off what seemed to be whipped cream. She then proceeded making drinks without washing her hands. This is a food business and being sanitary is most important. I'm disappointed that I had to witness this as this business seems to be a good place for coffee.
Energetic vibe, good service with fabulous locally roasted coffee. Food is fresh and served quickly. The only reason for 4 star is the condition of the restrooms. Not sure when they were last cleaned, but there is literally cobwebs growing in the men’s restroom along with visible dust.

One of our absolute favorites in the greater Toledo area! Nice place to stop for really good coffee, baked goods and even alcoholic drinks later in the day, too!

Pros: Amazing staff, they’re so nice and welcoming Large amount of options for drinks The environment is so cozy and I found it a good place to study Vegan option! Cons: My friend ordered the vegan sandwich and they served her a regular meat and animal based sandwich, which she thankfully noticed before she ate it, but they quickly replaced it with the right sandwich that she said was very good. I ordered the avocado toast and really disliked it. I thought it tasted funny and looked a little weird and I realized I don’t think they use fresh avocado. I picked up a piece of the avocado and it wiggled like rubber, maybe frozen or something but it was really off putting. I also ordered the fall coffee flight, while the autumn sage and the pancake one were great the cold brew was not very good. I would say avoid that. I look forward to coming back and trying the cocktails for brunch one day and maybe trying a breakfast sandwich instead of the avocado toast.

3 days a week I rotate between the cinnamon muffin, lemon sugar cookie, and blueberry muffin! Such a cool, local hot spot! I am always impressed with how the owner, Becky, genuinely interacts with her customers and knows them by name. She's the real deal and learned some things by her example. 🤝🏆✈️☕️
Flying Joe is the go to place if you love amazing coffee, delicious food and good vibes. The blueberry bliss cold brew is the best coffee I’ve ever had and continue to come back for it. The breakfast sandwich with aioli is out of this world and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. I would give this place six stars if I could.
I am not from around here but come to visit a friend who lives in the area, and we often end up at The Flying Joe. I am blown away every time. We went recently and I couldn't help myself from getting a breakfast sandwich, homemade pastry, and not one but two different seasonal coffee drinks (gotta have one for the drive home, right?). The summer specials were expertly crafted and were clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Their photos are always beautiful, too :) Wish I lived closer so I could be a regular!
Love this place! TFJ is one of my favorite coffee shops. Their drink menu is the bomb, especially with their seasonal items. They also make a pretty great breakfast sandwich! You even can buy Toledo roasted coffee as well as other local treats. You can’t go wrong with The Joe!
