I had the chicken salad croissant with kale and chips. Also, a vanilla caramel latte. The food and coffee ☕ were so delicious. There was a very friendly vibe.

My first time in here felt like I just walked into a community. You can tell people love a coffee shop by how many people are in just to socialize. The building is adorned with vibrant pop art and flyers. I ordered a dirty chai latte, which has become my default at new places, and I really liked it. It was refreshing and leaned into the chai a lot more than the coffee. Perfect for a hot summer walk. I'm excited to come back, whenever I'm in Cincinnati, to explore the menu

The coffee here is legit! Find it. Order one. Stay a while. Cool folks.

I can't wait to return and bring friends with me! There was a line when I arrived, and the cashier moved at a good pace. He was friendly and efficient. The Swirl Latte was well worth it! The right amount of sweetness for a drink that has caramel and dark chocolate and paired well with almond milk. I also bought a turkey quiche, which was delicious, with the right amount of flavor to please anyone! The environment they cultivated is delightful. I enjoy seeing local businesses support others. I bought "Free" by Lucille Banks and read while I was waiting for my order. There are also flyers for local events in several areas and artwork from local artists available for purchase and perfectly tied into the shops atmosphere. Seating is available and inviting, adding to the welcoming atmosphere the coffee shop aims for. I can't wait to visit again and see this place grow!

Atmosphere is a very cool vibe to wander into in the morning. Love supporting a black owned business- especially with such great coffee and nibbles. Wish we had one of these in MD!

First Black-owned coffee shop in Cincinnati! Very comfortable coffee shop to get some work done. Good food and good coffee options. Staff was super friendly and approachable. Their mission focuses heavily on sharing culture and being a haven for Black creatives which is amazing!

Coffee was great. Do not order food here. It took 30 minutes plus to make 2 turkey sandwiches.

Great vibe in and vintage building on Elm Street. Loved the soundtrack and varied seating arrangement - tables plus a couch section - all with inviting views out the large plate glass windows. Warm, welcoming staff, including the barristo whose ball cap read "Dump him." Solid, though limited, pastry options - bagels, Danish, croissants, and a couple quiches of the day. I'm not a coffee aficionado, but the Americano tasted strong and well brewed to me. A similar kind of place in Brooklyn would've charged $50+ for beverages and pastries for 4. Our group slid by for about $20. Good deal all around.

Such a gem. Stopped while in town for the weekend and will be back. Staff are friendly and kind. Atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, perfect place to chill, work or read. Good seating options and love all the windows. I got their seasonal drink — peppermint mocha? Iced, and I’m glad I did. So sweet and good, but not over the top.

Had an AMAZING experience here as part of the NCECA conference. This location should absolutely be on your list of places to visit in downtown Cincinnati. Probably one of the best chi teas I’ve ever had.

It was one of my first times walking around downtown Cincy and I stumbled across blaCk Coffee Lounge with my best friend. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is so sweet! They took the time to check on us after ordering and a worker also complimented my friends shoes which made her day :) I will definitely be visiting again!
