Love their iced coffee! They use coffee ice cubes, so even when it starts to melt, it still tastes like coffee.

On my first visit, they had live music, and the place was lively, busy, and offered many things to look at and fun things to buy. Their drink selection was broad, from smoothies to piping hot coffee drinks in a variety of flavors. I want to go back!
Overpriced coffee. After paying, I assumed it would taste decent for the price. I was wrong. Tastes like a an unclean coffee maker in a break room. I hope with their outrageous prices they pay their employees a decent wage…

Whenever we travel, we love finding local coffee places. We have been to Wilmington many times; however, this trip was our first time to Grinders. We were not disappointed. The service was great, and the drinks were amazing. They have a fantastic selection of drinks. Hubs got the Hi Felicia each time we went - if you like spicy, this is your drink! So far, I’ve had the Sno-Coconut and Blueberry Pie Latte, both iced with oat milk, and both were amazing! They use coffee ice cubes in some of their drinks too, which is always a nice bonus. My son got the incrediberry smoothie, and he downed it like there was no tomorrow. This has become our return spot for coffee in Wilmington going forward!
I held an event here for my business and what an amazing experience, staff was so professional and fast. The coffee is amazing and specialty drinks are delicious!
Used to love this place. Definitely gone downhill. Prices keep changing, messed up drinks, and I’ve heard the owner isn’t the nicest.
Great little coffee shop! I had a Mexican Mocha latte and it was the best latte I’ve ever had. Staff was so friendly, all around great vibes.

I have an annoyingly detailed chai order & Grinders is one of the only places I trust with it. They knock it out of the park every time, it’s like drinking clouds, so delicious. The vibes are always cozy in the morning too, they keep it quiet & softly lit, which rules.

Today was sadly most likely our trip to grinders coffee. My partner and I used to visit this little coffee shop often with glee and excitement. But lately every visit has gotten worse. Today visit I walked in put my phone number in and was happy to see that I had enough loyalty points to get either a free drink or a discount on today's purchase. I go to the counter to place my order. I place my partner drink first iced hazelnut latter jumbo 2% milk. I had to say this several times to get his order read back to me correctly. I ask for London Fog with lavender to which the person taking my order looks at me as if I started speaking a new language and told they couldn't make it. Instead of arguing about this I simply say give me Iced hazelnut latte jumbo with 2% as well. When the person goes to check my order he replies back with One jumbo hazelnut latte with 2%, one fog, and one regular latte with milk. I tell him as nicely as I could NO that's not correct at all. Firstly you told me you couldn't make a London fog, so am not sure what a fog is. Next it should be two jumbo hazelnut lattes with 2% milk. He replies it back correctly with my name correct. As my order is being made I look and see everything that is necessary to make a London Fog. Am more annoyed now because my drink could have been made. My name is called my order is ready or so I thought. The girl behind the registry double checks am Ally checks off the order board and I tell her I should have enough points for either a free drink or a discount she tells me no but will add 8 points to my account. Rings me for Only ONE drink. She then rings me up for my other drink!? I had to pay twice for my drinks because you failed to put my order in correctly that I had to ensure that guy behind the counter taking my order didn't screw up. I taste both lattes before leaving neither of them had hazelnut or enough milk in them. I was too annoyed by this point to say anything to staff I just doctor them up for us and le
I go to grinders pretty regularly. They have an extensive coffee/ drink menu but I usually get a latte with oatmilk or an affogato, which is a scoop of ice cream with espresso poured over top. They are one of the few places I've seen offer this great little afternoon treat. They also have a ton of milkshake flavor combination options like fruity pebbles or sweet beach, which my kids love. The food they offer is very limited - mostly locally made pastries with a good selection of vegan options. I like to go here to get work done on my computer- usually there is plenty of seating available and the wifi is good. Recently, they opened up a store next door called The Vibe, which has some cute clothing and accessories and other goodies for sale. I believe it's owned by the same people and is connected so you can order your drink and browse the site while it's being made.
I’m from out of town and tried this coffee shop on a whim. I got the Mexican mocha and it was amazing! Highly recommend.
Old guy! Getting a cup of coffee is complicated. Like the blueberry muffin. Coffee ok.
I love this place! The menu is fun and creative, you get your money's worth (a large is a LARGE), staff are friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is perfect. Will definitely keep coming back, especially for the Spring Fever latte with flavors of coconut, banana, and caramel.
I love coming into Grinders on my mornings and afternoons before work! The employees, and the owner Leah, are always welcoming! The coffee itself always has been my favorite in Wilmington hands down! They have a broadened menu and specialties! Highly recommend stopping by! Be sure to order the Spunky Monkey!
This is my favorite coffee shop in town! They have very good coffee, but the lovely people that work there are the main reasons that I keep coming back!
I’ve been going to Grinders for 6+ years and I’ve never had a bad experience. They just get better with time! We love them so much they were our wedding favor!
