We’re locals, and we always look for a go to place. The breakfast sandwiches and coffee are to die for!

We had the best breakfast sandwich at The Daily Grind today! And of course we indulged in our favorite ice cream even though it was 10am! Summer is here!

I absolutely love this place! They always have great live music and an awesome selection of beer and wine. Definitely a must go to spot on the island. Jeremy is awesome!

This place is amazing!! We love the coffee, treats, and the wine bar. The owner, Jeremy is very personable and accommodating. It is fun for adults as well as kids (my 9.5y old loves it there). Staff is very sweet and patient as well as efficient when you order. I highly recommend this place for coffee as well as fun in the evening. We go here every year.

Staff is amazing. Recommended some wonderful wines and let us taste first. Our daughter had ice cream and grandparents had a Carmel frap. Great logo makes great shirts. We got donuts yesterday for breakfast. Coming back tonight for live music. This is an amazing local hangout and welcomes us tourists as well. Owner was onsite chatting with folks. Don’t miss the stop when in Surf City area.

We’ve been coming here for 4 years during our vacations! It’s so nice to have a close coffee shop during a vacation stay that actually has good coffee with options (I coffee shops with those!) The breakfast sandwiches are also amazing and it’s hard not to get one everyday 😂. While we were waiting on our order, a man who I assume to be the owner or manager stopped and chatted with my kids for a few minutes and made us feel super welcomed. We look forward to coming back!

Had name wrong on drink wasn't even close so we assumed it wasn't ours, was waiting twice for them to make it, but then told 20 minutes later the one sitting there with wrong name was mine. By the time I got it it was closer to room temp rather than hot, took longer to get a fork for a cinnamon roll and waited almost 30 minutes for 1 danish.

The coffee was really good but the breakfast options are not great. They only had two kinds of bagels and the fruit is basically a banana or an orange. Would go back for the coffee but not the food.

I do not live locally, so I have not been to the shop, but I contacted the Daily Grind to ask for help getting a gift card to a client of mine who lives near their location. Tracey went above and beyond to fulfill all my requests! I can't thank her enough for getting back to me right away, keeping me updated with photos, and sending off the gift card on my behalf. Very grateful for the wonderful customer service! When I do finally get to the area, I'm excited to visit and grab a coffee! Update: I have since been to this shop a few times, my 5 stars remains the same!! Amazing coffee and helpful people.

My go to place for coffee when I'm on the island. The staff is friendly and the service is top notch. Special shout out to Ashley who knows my order the minute I walk in the door. There are tables where you can sit down and check e-mails or just relax and enjoy the wonderful coffee. Not only can you enjoy the coffee in the morning, but in the evenings they usually have live music on the outdoor patio. There you can enjoy your favorite beverage from the Unwined bar or enjoy some ice cream. This place is a must if you are visiting the island.

We stopped in for ice cream but it seemed more like icemilk. The espresso was good. We took cake to go. We thought we were getting carrot cake but it was spice cake, no carrot involved other than the frosting carrot on top. The chocolate cake was good. It was clean and the staff was friendly.

I got an iced snickers latte with oatmilk. The flavor was on point. The service however was less than desirable. The girl at the counter made no effort to even say hi or offer a greeting. Zero communication. The store also has tee shirts and other items for sale. They also have some table for sit down. Parking lot is tight but I recommend backing in your spot. Disappointed as I had read such good reviews of your establishment. Did not return due to service. I visited on Monday 3/27.

The Daily Grind in Surf City is for sure a place you NEED to visit for coffee, smoothies, and drinks. They also have ice cream as well, plus merchandise. The drinks are very good, and I always have a good experience!! Plus they often have live music to really brighten your experience here. It is a must visit location if your planning on staying or visiting Topsail Island.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Amazing coffee, smoothies, ice cream, wine, beer, and live music. No other place on the island like it. Stop in everyday for a coffee before shopping or hang out Thursday-Sunday for some live music on the deck. My family comes to Topsail every year and this is our fav spot. Family owned!

What a great find! The staff was friendly and helpful. The coffee, hot chocolate and baked goods were fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed the wine bar side. We returned within our short stay and had the same experience. Highly recommend and we will be back when visiting again.
