We're lucky enough to live walking distance from this amazing coffee shop and stop by at least once a week. The staff is always incredibly kind and ready to answer any questions or suggest their favorite items. Right before work hours on week days and Sunday mornings tend to get busy, so plan for a little extra time if that's when you're headed in. Their cold brew and nitro are strong but smooth. Their Vietnamese coffee is just the right balance of sweet and strong, and their lattes are always perfectly brewed. You'll wait a little longer for their brewed teas, matcha, or Vietnamese coffee, but it's well worth it. They take their brewing times seriously, and the result is delicious every time. The banh mi is fantastic. I'm sure their other sandwiches are delicious, but I can never bring myself to order anything else because the banh mi is so good. We haven't explored the dessert case much, but their banana bread is tender, moist, and not overly sweet. You can pair it with a sweetened latte or a cold brew, which we love.
Came to leave two extra stars after my unpleasant experience with some of staff because Kate, a barista here, took the time to find me on social media after seeing my one star review and reached out to me to let me know they were a struggling underpaid service worker and a bunch of other irrelevant stuff but anyhow, kate if you see this I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings- and maybe the one star was a little harsh… but I think finding me and following me social media to share your feelings with me personally was a lil weird. However, my opinion still stands, the baristas here were rude to me during my visit. Now I can’t even give idle hour a second chance because I’m scared of Kate :/
Talk about good coffee... You can't go wrong with a coffee here, I normally get a cappuccino, but I have tried several drinks here and none have disappointed. Cool vibe here, they serve patisseries and sandwiches too but I have not had one yet.
Best deserts I’ve ever had the mushroom is to die for 🍄 ❤️
Excellent espresso in a welcoming cafe. Great service. Dog friendly space.
We were really excited to try their coffee and food but I was disappointed with the quality I received. I got The G.O.A.T and I would say this half piece of bread is not worth the $8 I payed. I was also disappointed that there was only 1 alternative milk option.
Limited inside seating on busy mornings. Nice outside seating on busy street. Great coffee!
I LOVE THE COFFEE!!!! THE DESSERTS I BOUGHT 4... THEY ARE PERFECT. The flavor and size is great for when I want something sweet but, not really sweet. The donuts in the morning are really good. I LOVE LOCAL!!! Forget Starbucks, they ain't nobody in my book. I haven't given Starbucks my money since 2010. Overpriced and not friendly. IDLE HOUR IS AWESOME!!!!
Some of the best cookies I’ve ever eaten in my life and the coffee is stellar. It’s absolutely some of the best I’ve had great customer service and a warm and inviting and cozy atmosphere. I’ve made this a daily stop.
Unfortunately the staff was very rude and we won’t be visiting again. I tried to voice a concern and they could have cared less, rolling their eyes and walking away from me. Terrible customer service and shouldn’t have to deal with that when trying to support a local small business.
Tasty coffee, nice spot …a bit pricey! $4.55 for a 16oz coffee!
Nice atmosphere, quick service, and good coffee. The breakfast roles are excellent. True coffee house experience.
Today 1/21/23 We stopped in as soon as they opened. The mushroom cheese cake is 9 dollars each 🍄 the green apple 🍏 cheesecake is 6 dollars. I REALLY wanted to like this place bc of the unique desserts. However they are not the American cheesecake you're thinking of. It's a frothy flan-like with cheesecake "flavoring" taste. The coffee was luke warm and no bells and whistles that one would expect. The donuts were large but the taste was lacking, like leftovers from last week. Which there is nothing wrong with mediocre foods, but not at those prices. I would like to see more varieties of coffees and flavors and more engaging of the staff. I saw customers come in that weren't greeted or directed to condiments after their purchase.
I went yesterday just to get a cup of coffee and they were slammed. However the staff was incredible! They still managed to be polite. Everything tasted good. They created a warm and welcoming environment even while being busy beyond the brink. I felt so impressed and welcomed and grateful for everything they were doing. Even though they were busy they were amazing.
Good coffee but service was only okay. Parking is not very easy either
One of my favorite coffee shops. They have a cozy atmosphere and comfy booths to sit and do work, but there is very limited spots if you need an outlet! The coffee orders were sarisfying and baristas have been pleasant in my experience. I love the plants and natural light in the space. The only reason for -1 star is for the few outlets. If some extension cords could be added for tables not next to the wall that would be helpful!
Overpriced tiny cups of bad coffee and donuts that just hang out without any sort of glass or barrier or literally anything. They're stale they're gross.
The food was great, but $8 for one piece of bread is just dumb.
I ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Coffee Cheesecake. Spent ~$14 including tip. The Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and sweet as it’s supposed to be but my drink had bits of coffee grounds in it. The texture of coffee cheesecake completely threw me off. The “cheesecake” had the texture of a marshmallow. I personally don’t prefer marshmallows. Will try again next time by ordering a latte and another dessert. Vibe of the place was cute and quaint. There’s seating inside and outside. A small parking lot is located to the side of the cafe. Great place for small groups or singles looking for a place to chat, chill, or do work/hw.
Great atmosphere and the folks that work there are nice. Good coffee and interesting donuts. The salmon lox bagel is killer.
