The baristas were extremely nice and friendly. The service was great and so were the drinks! The atmosphere was chill and laid back and very calming.
I ordered the Taiwanese fried chicken and Lao fog (basically a hot Thai tea) - both were really yummy! Cabbage was just slightly undercooked, but not to the point I had to send it back. +1 for the cute aesthetic and nice ambiance
My favorite coffee shop in downtown for the perfect aesthetics, delicious food, and their store selection of sake and beer (I don’t usually see beerLao many places, so it’s my go-to spot to stock up on this personally nostalgic drink) . Also love their mochi donuts and honey & milk toast. It’s super walkable from other spots downtown, including being the perfect place to walk to after weekend morning yoga 🧘🏼♀️
Wow. Just had their scallion eggs sandwich. It’s top 3 in life. Best cafe in Raleigh. Beautiful designed space. Great vibes
The quality of their coffee is amazing. The customer service is always amazing despite how busy they get. The barista working this past Saturday and Sunday morning crafted and delivered our coffee with such care. Prices are also extremely reasonable.
I stopped in for a latte and a place to get some work done and Heirloom was just what I needed. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the service was fantastic. I was both disappointed and relieved that I had eaten breakfast before I went because I wanted to try all the things but I knew that I shouldn't try all the things. Next time I'll be ready to eat.
Loved the atmosphere and coffee. My chicken bowl lacked flavor- the rice was really plain and needed a sauce and some more complexity.
Super clean, high design and Japanese influenced cafe in Raleigh’s warehouse district. Good stop for delicious small bites, mochi donuts and other pastries, coffee/drinks including wine by glass or bottle.
They arbitrarily close the kitchen, and don't make a note of it anywhere. We traveled 30 minutes to eat here and were turned away.
Cute place, friendly staff, but it’s a tea place where the only black tea they offer is a pu-erh. And not an interesting one.
Cute cafe - they were very welcoming and allowed us to take photos for an engagement session. They made the most beautiful latte art for the couple to have in the photos. I have been wanting to try mochi doughnuts for a long time but they are always sold out at other cafes. I was able to get one here and it was surprisingly dense but good!
This spot is perfect for young professionals, the atmosphere is adequate to work for a couple of hours, network, and enjoy a laid back work day. Also, there’s a printer available for any documents you may need! Teas, coffee, and snacks are available during work hours, I enjoyed a jasmine tea and a relaxing day 😌
I love this place. Beautiful ambiance, great coffee and I love to spend the time here. People here are always nice. The only thing I have is that they dont have mugs or plates. Every coffee is always in "to go" cup and if you order banana bread or something, it never comes on a plate. I find it very very wasteful. Other than that, this place is great.
Today (1/11/2023) at 9:40am I walked into this establishment from my office located upstairs inside of the Dillon, and as I walked in and stood at the register waiting to be served the young lady that was behind the counter was texting on her phone, never looked up and acknowledged me until I said HELLO, and at that time she said Hey and kept on texting. I walked away from the register and back outside then walked back in and she still took her sweet damn time assisting me. She finally came and rung up my highly expensive $5 plus tax Chocolate banana nut bread slice and walked away to proceed back on her phone. Not sure who owns this place but if you ever read your reviews, please look at the date and time I presented above and locate that horrible unprofessional employee and re-train her immediately!!
Breakfast here was a treat! The curry gravy is incredible and fingerlings are just French fries, but somehow better! I must try coffee shop and breakfast place!
Small coffeeshop with great pricing for coffee, cozy and bright decor, friendly and easygoing staff. Had a nice morning coffee with my sisters and we had time to catch up and felt super welcomed! 👌
Friendly staff and a very clean and nice environment. came to study and get comfortable. the music is good and has great study vibes for group study. the man who made my coffee was so friendly and served me the best iced coffee i’ve ever had.
I love hojicha tea but I’d never had a hojicha latte before - it was fantastic!
This place is aesthetically pleasing and the Taiwanese inspired food menu is pretty darn good, but operationally they have a lot they could do better. The first is how long it takes to order and get your coffee after you order. Be prepared for a 10-15 min wait just to get your drink, regardless of how many baristas are there (they seem to have several) or how busy the restaurant is. It seems like meandering and slow is their method of operation, and there's zero sense of urgency. While the food is great, I'm docking a star for the incredibly inconsistent hours in which they serve food. For instance, at noon on Sunday the kitchen was closed, which to me seems like another huge operational miss (and probably why the store was only half full on a day when tons of people are milling around downtown). Have the operators of this spot never heard of Sunday brunch or recognize that people want to eat during those hours? At the very least then make the hours of your food service clear on the website or Google page so patrons don't come in and get disappointed. When I have ordered their food, it's always been good but again expect very slow and disorganized service (they don't take names so it's hard to tell when yours is ready vs someone else when you order the same item). I think there's a ton of potential for this place hence the 4 stars, but a lot of simple issues that with some leadership and organization could result in a much smoother and better experience for customers.
Always a peaceful vibe to get work done in. Or meet a friend for a quick spro' Food menu is unique and fulfilling (Katsu chicken is A1) Lots of good Asian/Japanese retail items & beverages, which is something that's not common in a lot of specialty coffee shops, but one of the things that makes this place standout besides it's intricate and well thought out design
