Wonderful coffee. We stayed in the area for two days and I think we stopped here four or five times.
I had a Red Eye and a slice of Coffee Cake... perfect!
Love the food and atmosphere. Great little town as well. The avocado toast and scones are to due for.
I love this place. Truly. But because I like the food and the location so much I often am also frustrated by the amateur way that it is run. Two examples: 1. I ordered avocado toast. Then I was told they have run out of avocados. So I ordered the smoked salmon. And guess what — I was then told they were out of Salmon too. Why not cross the things off the menu when you’re out? Or when you have a chance to tell me that you have no avocados, also tell me that you have no salmon! And how about an apology instead of a blank stare. “I’m so sorry, but we are out of several things today… Avocados, and salmon“ would sure go along way. 2. When I completed my order, I was told I should sit down and that they would find me. I thought this meant my food would be delivered. Nope. It means they will call out what you ordered and set it on the bar to get cold. They did not ask my name so they could not call me by name. And I didn’t know the menu name of what I had ordered, so I did not recognize that. The place was busy and noisy so I did not hear them call much of anything… My sandwich sat on the bar for a long time before I got so hungry I went looking. The big things are done really well at this place. The pastries, sandwiches, and oh my the coffee… All are terrific. Now, if they could just ice the little things — like customer service — it would be my favorite place. I’ll add a 5th star when that happens!
So the coffee was super good, but it was also $15 for two small cups (one iced latte, one hot latte). Plus they charge 75 cents for oat milk which I think nowadays is just unnecessary. Oat milk is probably cheaper to buy than regular milk nowadays anyway. It also took about 20 minutes, which was long enough that I honestly figured someone took our order by accident.
The few times I have gone to this Waterbean, my orders have been great. Today I ordered off the app, a vietnamese coffee. There was no condensed milk, it honestly tasted like a regular iced coffee w milk.
Nice spot. fancy place with friendly people and good coffee
Excellent service, coffee drinks, and breakfast items. Very nice atmosphere. I highly recommend!
Great people great coffees awesome atmosphere very lofi chill step vibes. Great study spot
The food is really good.
Great coffee. Good food (more than just munchies, danishes, and basic coffee shop fare), plus I'm able to get some work done.
Cute spot with great coffee! Loved the honey lavender coffee
My mate Joshua K Phillips aka Tobias says this place has some pukker coffee, and the staff awesome. Never 'Bean' there but I hear great things
Customer service is a heavy part of my ratings & the barista was super amazing!! The guy cashier who was originally supposed to take my order was unprofessional as he stayed on his phone when I came up. Really, I’m not Karen, but if you stay on it as I’m standing there, it’s quite awkward. I told him I needed a second & luckily I had another employee serve me. I asked for a recommendation in which she thought of the white chocolate caramel latte (which was on point). I was inquisitive about a couple things & she was very knowledgeable & even let me try the nicaraguan drip coffee. She encapsulates the personality that draws people in. Great coffee alone doesn’t flourish a business, the people do. <3
Wish the coffee was actually mixed. I miss unwind and probably won’t go back in the future because it’s such a downgrade
Do I miss the quaint cozy hometown vibes of Unwind? Yes! But I really think Waterbean has done a great job of opening up the space and adding lots of seating. I personally love how white and minimalist everything is, I think it makes it easier to focus when there’s less distraction and things to look at on the walls. I do think a few more plants could be a great addition. Love that there are two restrooms! The green tea frappe was delicious and I’ll look forward to trying some loose leaf teas and gluten free vegan treats next time I come in to do some work 😊
Good coffee and service but wow what a basic look. Mostly bare white walls. Not the cozy coffee place I was expecting.
Always a warm welcome and a great coffee. Thank you.
Very friendly service, cozy space with ideal lighting and a variety of seating options. One of the few cafes in the area that stays open on the later end! Excellent warm muffins (not pictured as I ate it pretty quick haha), and I’d definitely recommend this mango passion fruit smoothie! 😊👍
Nice location downtown Pineville. I’ve had the Chai Latte and Macaroons, which were both really. Prices are very decent.
