The food was amazing and you can't beat the price! I particularly like the French toast. The hot chocolate was delicious as well. Great little location above a little shop. The table was a little sticky, but when syrup is involved, that is to be expected .

Swede's Cafe is a great place for breakfast or lunch! We are thankful for their partnership with the Chamber! Their sandwiches are delicious for lunch and the scones are great for breakfast, as well as all their other items! They are always a hit when we use them!

Great little cafe upstairs to a gift shop. Food was good and staff was pleasant. We ordered the Harveys Melt and Beth's French Toast Stack, both were very good! The bathrooms are very clean too!

Really good lunch spot. Cozy upstairs area. Great chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. Super clean without feeling sterile and weird.

My wife and I tried for the first time today after her radiation treatment. We did have one little issue and they went above and beyond what we expected to make it right! We couldn't have asked for more. Our food was great and the prices were very reasonable as well. Also loved the shop downstairs! Very unique. We will gladly return. Great Job!

My first, and last, visit. What an overpriced huge disappointment. Went for breakfast, they had about 4 tables of other patrons for 10am on a Saturday so I figured it must be good. I ordered the Brittany's French Toast which mentioned it being grilled. It resembled NOTHING remotely close to French toast. Basically it was 4 halves of toasted (grilled) flat, dry bread. No egg coating. And the only powdered sugar was a tiny dusting on one tiny edge of the plate. Barely any syrup. And sorry I left a tip since the only service was someone brought the "food" to the table. Had to order myself at the counter as well as seat myself. No welcome or thank you. Girl taking orders excused herself twice before taking my order. Nearly $7 for dry bread that couldn't even pass as decent toast let alone French toast.

Visited Morganton for the first time and had lunch here. What at great place. All the items we had were made fresh and were delicious. The pimento grilled cheese was the best ever and the handmade pimento cheese was outstanding. Highly Recommend

Pros: Tasty cappuccino, prompt service, clean tables, sanitary restroom. Cons: Smoke from burnt oil filled all areas. All windows were closed, unfortunately, making clothes and hair smell bad.

My family and I came here for breakfast on a Saturday. I ordered Brittany’s French Toast and it did not disappoint. The toast was crunchy on the ends and ooey gooey in the middle. It was so moist I wasn’t even bothered that they didn’t add a side of butter. It didn’t need it! I also ordered their iced latte with extra vanilla and it was perfect. I think we all walked away with full bellies and happy faces. We were a bit disappointed that their tasty scones were not warmed before being brought to our table. I thought that was a given for scones but if you’re like us, and prefer them to be on the warm side, make sure you request it!

Good coffee and breakfast, a favorite according to several local folks. Wonderful gift shop downstairs too.
