The coffee is terrible. We got a cold brew and a frappe and they both are awful. The cold brew tastes sour and burnt which is crazy because how do you even burn cold brew?! And the frappe wasn’t even made with espresso. The coffee is less than good and there’s not enough flavor to overcome it. I wish I could get my money back. And the service wasn’t great. The servers look like they wish they could be anywhere else. I own a coffee shop so I know they can do better. The bathrooms were clean tho.
Second time visiting, my first experience was better. The server who made my drink was not really friendly and she was coughing 😒 although she turned away not good around food & drinks. This will probably be my last as my green tea frappe didn't help my experience.
i come here all the time with my friends and it's absolutely amazing every time. they have an extensive menu of both food and drinks. they use manual espresso machines here which i love. they offer vegan and gluten free options as well! i always get an iced vanilla oat milk latte. if you're going for food, i'll recommend the bacon egg and cheese croissant or the vegan strawberry crumble muffin.
Perfect vibe. Delicious tea & treats. I was there for a poetry reading and it was so awesome.
Awesome l arge coffee house, lots of different choices of coffee...french press, aeropress, vietnamese, etc.
Favorite place to go with mixed company, waterbean has something to satisfy every taste. I enjoy the relaxed, contemporary atmosphere.
Fancy coffee is not my normal thing. However we were out shopping and passing by so went in to give it a try. No disappointments. Server/barista was EXCELLENT. Explaining everything with great detail and precision. Had a machiatto (spelling) coffee with a lemon and blueberry scone. The coffee was smooth tasty and warm However it did cool very quickly. The scone was unimpressive. Almost tasteless and dry. Not really my thing. Store was exceptionally clean and full of customers.
I loved the Sakura rose tea when they had it for limited time and the jasmine tea was good too
Really disappointed in this location and it used to be decent. The coffee quality is mediocre at best. Had an Americano that I could barely drink. It tasted like watered down gas station coffee. No drip decaf. Penalty fees for drinking plant-based milks. Outside sitting area was dirty and hadn't been swept in awhile. Staff wasn't busy, hanging out on their phones. They could have been washing dishes, cleaning tables, sweeping the outside. Anything would be better than nothing.
Best coffee shop around. The attention to details is unmatched! Great espresso and friendly staff.
Great space and ambiance, bathrooms are clean and the staff was nice. But the coffee was incredibly mediocre and the food way over priced for the quality. I got a lox sandwich on a bagel that I could barley bite through it was so stiff. Sanitation grade is also pretty low for my standards (93.4). Don’t plan on returning due to food quality.
Really enjoyed my first trip here. Very relaxed setting, plenty of seating. The two baristas were really nice and helpful. Also very happy to have found a place that doesn't close at 7pm!
Always friendly and helpful staff... Always fun and different drinks. My favorite is the pistachio black tea with one pump of simple syrup. Most coffee shops I find difficult to go to, but this place is not bad. A big plus is that it is locally owned.
Great place to meet and share. Lots of churches represented. Serve the Lord with Gladness.
First time impression - this is really good! Wide variety of coffees and preparations, and looks like they've got wines and local beers on tap for later in the day. I'm usually a bagel breakfast sandwich kinda guy, but the "Morning Sunshine" on croissant was great. It's a nice space too - clean, not crowded. I'll be back!
Water bean is my favorite local specialty coffee shop for meetings. It's quiet there is plenty of seating and the coffee is good. Free wi-fi.
I wanted a gingerbread cookie but my usual bakery was closed for the day so since he was in the parking lot doing other shopping, my husband stopped by Waterbean to see what they had. He picked up what they called a gingerbread scone for me and a blueberry muffin for himself. First of all I was shocked that two items cost $10. Secondly, the scone was one of the worst things I've ever had. It didn't taste like gingerbread or cinnamon, or nutmeg, or ginger it had a weird sour taste. It was extremely dry and not sweet at all. It did not have the texture of a scone. More like dry coarse bread. Needless to say I couldn't eat it. I tried a piece of the muffin and again was very disappointed. It was gummy and dense. Completely inedible. So we wasted $10 and got nothing. I won't go back there again.
Good coffee, cool ambiance, and amazing tea but I feel that the staff could be much friendlier here. I have been coming to Waterbean locations for several years and was quite shocked. The Waterbean locations in Hickory, NC are *amazing* but here in Huntersville the staff were impatient, constant frowns on their faces, and seem to not care at all. Was not impressed. Came in Sunday 11/20 at 11 AM.
Friendly service and good quality drinks. I tried coffee brewed via the siphon method which was fun to watch and tasted quite good. My daughters enjoyed a taro milk tea with boba and an iced coffee.
Great place to do some work. The coffee and staff are amazing.
