When I googled GLUTEN FREE in duck, nc, these guys popped up first. When I went in to order, I was informed they were sold out of the GF donuts for the day and that they sell something like 1200 of them a day and to try coming at 11am the next morning. I decided instead to reserve a few for pick up a few days later. OMG. I've never had a gluten free donut like this. It was UNBELIEVABLY GOOD!! all 4 of the flavors I ordered were delicious. I think the maple glaze might be my favorite, but it's really too close to call. The rest of the people in our family that traveled with us are not gluten free and got a few of their regular donuts. Also absolutely mouth watering. We plan to make this a regular spot everytime we visit duck!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! keep up the great work!
Great place to eat. I had the strawberry shortcake donut with peach ice cream sandwich. The kids discovered the place and wanted us to enjoy the experience. Donuts on a stick were light, warm, and delicious.
Never been here but we took a chance after checking out the reviews & photos. If you’re debating on going…. GO!! We will 10000% be back. Friendly personable staff & quick service. Unlike any dessert we have ever had. The donuts are prepared fresh & the warmth from that and the cool, creaminess from the delicious ice cream is unmatched.
This is one of our favorite places to go when we're in the Outer Banks! If you want the best dessert you've ever had...this is the place. They make fresh donuts TO ORDER to put with the ice cream... it is a magical experience! I have gotten the donut sandwich and the sundae in Cinnamon Roll with Salted Caramel Truffle ice cream. Life changing 🙌
We come here every time we're in the Obx. The owner is so nice and always takes time to talk with us! The ice cream is fantastic and the donuts are delicious! We love Donuts on a stick

Fresh made donuts with a great assortment of toppings. That by itself is worth the stop, add ice cream on top? Soooo good. Absolutely worth it.
Love this place! We stop here multiple times every time we visit Duck and are never disappointed. Friendly staff and a really cool concept for donuts as dessert!
Our experience here was absolutely amazing, it is a perfect option for those with allergies. The staff was so incredibly friendly. David, the owner who was at the counter, was so easy to talk to, he even knew our names and orders by the end of the trip. When ordering, he immediately asked about allergies, before taking the order. My friend and I were there every day of our trip because we loved it so much. She ordered normal donuts, and I ordered GF and Vegan, as I have a gluten and dairy allergy. The donuts were spectacular and there were so many options. They are extremely cautious about allergies and even mark the outside of the container with GF and Vegan stickers, which was a big deal to me. Be sure to order ahead of time, or get there immediately when they open, as they sell out quick!!!
Wow, this place is delicious! Plenty of gluten free options, celiac friendly. The customer service was incredible, really appreciated the amount of knowledge on celiac safety. Loved the cinnamon roll donut!
On 8/5/22 my family visited this shop for ice cream. Unfortunately as I walked from the counter to the front of the store I slipped and fell . 911 responded with EMT's and the police. Not once during the entire episode did store management come over to me to see if I was ok or to ask if I needed anything. I suffered a severely bruised hand. After we returned to our home in NJ the next day my daughter contacted the store manager via email and sent a picture of my bruised and swollen hand. My hand was sore for several weeks but once it was better my daughter again contacted the store manager via email to let him know that my hand was much better and asked if he could send a refund for the ice cream which we never got to enjoy. We have never heard one word from the store management. Their utter lack of concern for their customers really left a sour taste. This could have resulted in a lawsuit but apparently they didn't care enough to even email an apology.
They have gluten free donuts and ice cream cones. The employees were so sweet and helpful. My mom and sisters are also obsessed with their donuts.
One of the most unique places on the outer banks. Great for ice cream and sweets. Be prepared for a long wait during the summer
Second time coming here for the gluten free donuts. We came in around noon and had no issues getting what we wanted. Thoroughly enjoyed the gluten free strawberry shortcake donuts! Love that they offer doggy ice cream too.
If you are gluten free like my wife is, then you will love and appreciate this place. She loved it and raved about it to everyone. I for my part, I got a milkshake. Definitely it's real and tasty. Stop by here for another good experience of OBX dessert
I love everything about this place! The owners are incredible, their staff is amazing and always polite and the product is the absolute best! Plus they gave gluten free which can be hard to find making it even more amazing!
found this place on Google maps, I am a sweetie love me some desserts. Had to try it so delicious. I had the Strawberry Short cake small donuts on a strick...If I come back definitely trying another flavor like coffee cake.
Fantastic banana split and staff is awesome! The line is and will be long but makes sense with how well the customer service is and the excellent ice cream will be going again.
I love donuts on a stick!!! I have come twice on my vacations and just can’t get enough of it! Such a variety of fresh donuts and unique ice cream flavors. I personally love chocolate so I got a chocolate glazed donut with better brownie batter. The person at the cash register taking my order was very patient and kind. Donutz On A Stick is a must for anyone in the outer banks and I will be bringing distant relatives!
It was a very disappointing experience. I was looking for vegan donuts online and saw that donuts on a “stick” offered them if you called ahead to reserve them. I called and was informed that they were no longer taking reservations, it was first come first serve after they received them at 11. I went in yesterday afternoon to see if they had any and the man working told me that I would need to come at 11 the next day. So today I arrived before 11, waited in line for 45 minutes, only to be told that the vegan donuts were reservation only. I would have reserved them if I could?! Since I was still craving a donut, we bought four of the gluten free vegan donuts for over $18. Four regular donuts cost about $5.50. CRAZY HIGH PRICES FOR CRAZILY DISSATISFYING DONUT. Also, the donuts came on a tooth pick, not a stick.
