Staff VERY attentive. The place looked clean. The food was piping hot and VERY GOOD! The only negative was that they had gave out all the crayons for the children's artwork activities but we made out well with pens. I would very much recomend The Red Onion if you haven't yet. . . . . . .

We are from out of state, and just happen to stumble upon this place! We each has something different, and completely were each delighted with our choices! Great flavored food, relaxing atmosphere and friendly hosts! Thank you for the great dinner!

Food was TERRIFIC. Service was HORRENDOUS. Asked for a tea and a water. Had to ask for water again. Soft drinks are served in small glasses making it hard for the staff to keep them full (not that anyone was trying very hard). Husband got his artichoke dip before his veggie lasagna but my soup was delivered with my chicken florentine. Everything was very good, would just have been better not to have it all at one time. On a side note... the (very) young lady who seated us as well as several other staff members were wearing small and revealing outfits that very barely covered anything at all. Not professional at all. We left without dessert over it.

The waitress, Cheyenne, was great!!! My hubby got the Tuscan Chicken. It was less than warm. I got the Grilled Chicken Salad with the Asian dressing. It was ok but I don't like the type of lettuce they use. IF we go back we're going to respectfully choose different and request Cheyenne for a waitress.

Servers and host were sitting in booth talking and didn't realize we were waiting at door. Our server looked like she wanted to murder someone. Onion rings were burnt, southern chicken sandwich was "the worst sandwich" my partner had ever had. The sunrise burger was mediocre and shot egg over my shirt, which may be my fault. It looks like the kind of institution Gordon Ramsay would visit on Kitchen Nightmares if given the opportunity. Definitely not coming here again.

My sister's meal looked delicious- good balance of protein w/ veggies. Colorful plate of food. My pizza was tasty- a little too much cheese for my taste but had enough leftover for additional meals. Price was competitive for area. Easy access and enough parking

The French Dip was really good. Lunch time was quiet enough for a business discussion.

Our favorite restaurant in Boone. We have been coming here for years and years, and it never disappoints . Try the Asian salad. Love their homemade secret-recipe salad dressing.

We can't say enough nice things about our dinner at Red Onion! The atmosphere was pleasant and our server was wonderful. She was recommending me things left and right to help me get around my (unfortunately) picky eating habits. I ended up going with the pesto pasta, it was delicious and somehow still tasted just as good as leftovers. That's how you know you've got a winner!

I do not recommend, staff seems a bit odd, although our server was great. Food is fine, pricey.

Was in Boone for business decided to give this place a try. We ordered delivery which was fairly prompt. Now onto the food. We ordered a white pizza pretty basic. Overall pizza was good topping wise. The crust was so greasy I feel we could have squeezed it out of the crust and used it to fry the onion rings. Onto the onion rings we did order. They tasted like they were cooked once then dropped under the fryer and found a week later and thrown back into the fryer and served to us. Ordered their banana cream pie. It was suppose to be a luscious cream pie topped with cool whip and bananas. We received something to the texture of maybe a cheesecake on old tasting crust. No cool whip and no bananas. Overall all the experience was not great. Wouldn't even give the chance to go into the place to try in person. The reviews that talk about the lack of quality are extremely accurate. So unless you have no taste buds or haven't really eaten in a years time, I would seek other options in the area.

Decent food and service. Bonus that it was across the street from a car charger.
