Good ice cream at a good price
Excellent ice cream quick and friendly service
Really good homemade hard ice cream and waffle bowls. I was craving them while they were closed during winter. Not a chalky milky taste which is amazing, all the flavors can come through! They have an indoor cafe now as well with coffee's and other stuff. Also they make cake's!(Perfect for birthday's, parties etc.)
Great food and coffee drinks, ice cream, homemade salads, sandwiches and soups. I don’t know if they have reopened after the pandemic. I went by there in 4/23, they appeared to still be closed.
Better than Gannon's. Real Syracuse people know.
I've been coming here for years when and now that I have grandchildren I bring them here as well. Really enjoy this place
The ice cream is still to rate but I miss the warmth of the old cafe.
I really needed that ice after walking the Rand Land Tract. I didn't even know it existed! It was a terrific hike and right in the City of Syracuse. Amazing.
This is my favorite place to get ice cream. They have a broad variety of flavors for soft serve (e.g., pistachio), unique types of hard ice cream (e.g., lavender) and interesting sounding flavors of "arctic ice" (e.g., passion fruit, strawberry guava). Beware, the soft serve melts quickly. So, if you get sprinkles, it'll be a little hard to keep up with the speed of melting, because you'll have all sorts of sprinkles in your mouth. My favorite is the classic vanilla chocolate twist. The vanilla has really good flavor. Most places vanilla just tastes unremarkable. Here, it's really tastes of vanilla.
I go here often and I’ve rarely I’d ever had a problem. However today was the third time I’ve found a long blonde piece of hair in my ice cream. Definitely going to be taking a break from getting my ice cream here.
I Watched them Make Fresh ice cream!! They also make smoothies milkshakes and Water Ice ! This place isn't cheap! Quality is never cheap!
Went there a browned haired girl threw my ice cream at me and spit on my saying I should never come back and the came out and beat me.
Being going there since was like 6 years old I'm 31 the best ice cream in Syracuse.
Cute little local ice-cream stand. Very tasty homemade hard ice-creams. They have Spanish peanuts, too! And that hardening chocolate syrup!

Revisited after several years and it did not disappoint! The pistachio strawberry twist is so good and you can't get it anywhere else! Love their ice cream.
The owner, or who I believe is the owner, she is such a sweet person to the point it makes you think she isn't from Upstate NY. I particularly like this place and have been going for years. They not only sell ice cream but they also sell hot food inside, which shocked me how good but also healthy it was. I gave it a 5 star due to never being disappointed and always greeted with pleasant staff, no matter who is serving
They have amazing vegan soft serve vanilla ice cream! I definitely recommend this place! Now they have vegan whipped cream!
Arctic Island is also the Broadway Cafe. They have wonderful subs, but as of now, they are closed for the season for remodeling. I always feel full after eating half the sub, then the rest gets saved for dinner. I live about a mile away from where they are, so it's nice to have a great place to relax sit down and enjoy my meal.
Some of the best ice cream I have ever had. There were flavors I've never heard of, lavender/honey, for example. The staff was friendly and helpful. Did I mention how delicious the ice cream was?!?
