Super well stocked local eatery with prepared foods and delicious dining options. Stopped in for egg sandwiches for breakfast. Grab some coffee and cookies as well. Everything was delicious. Plus, there’s a nice little area for kids to play in the back near the tables, so you can just chill and enjoy your food while a little ones play with the various games and toys that they have set out for them. Will definitely be back soon. We enjoyed it and look forward to trying their burgers which look delicious.

I love everything about this place. The food cooked in front of you is always great, the cider selection which is their specialty is amazing and the general store selection is well thought out. I'm always happy to drive just a bit out of my way to get there.

Your experience at the Golden Russet will not disappoint. Craig and Jenny serve great food and lots of love to the local community. Pick up a copy of Craig’s book and a six-pack of cider while you’re there!

I grew up down the street and use to frequent Schultzville deli ( it’s former identity). Since then the deli has changed a few hands till it’s current name the golden russet. First impression was great still retained a lot of its old school appeal and vibes. A lot of it remains the same on the inside a few aesthetic changes that are definitely improvements. Now let’s get to the important part the food! I am a BEC fanatic i have never in all my life seen a bec served on a potato roll but I proceeded with a open mind. Firstly the potato bun is not superior to the tried and true hard roll in-terms of sandwich structure. Secondly for 5.50 I would expect two eggs to be standard. Lastly there choice of hot sauce is odd why not a standard mikes hot or even Tabasco. After seeing the selections of drinks it saddens me to see the lack of run of the mill beverages for this rural location it almost feels like I am in a strange Brooklyn cafe with all the choices of hipster beverages. Wish them the best but will sadly not return as I am not demographic this place will appeal too. RIP to Schultzville deli…

Golden Russet is the best. My wife and I buy grocery items here and get delicious burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and sandwiches. The cider and beer selection is great. Craig and Jenny are super friendly. If you haven't been here, your missing out.

It was my first time visiting. Was a great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. First time I've ever had a grilled cheese with mustard and pickles, and it was amazing.

Charming, friendly, delicious, reasonable prices. Great selection of produce, essentials and cider, which, to be fair, is also an essential. Breakfast sandwiches and the fried banana bread total winners. One of my favorite local spots for a quiet, delicious breakfast.

Amazing! A hidden gem. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a quick breakfast bite while on our travels. The food was absolutely delicious. He had the breakfast sandwich and I had the griddled banana bread. The food was fresh and flavorful! I’ve lived in the area me whole life and never stopped until today, I will definitely be stopping in more often now that I know they are there and have such great food. Also very clean and friendly!

A group of friends and I came here for breakfast and were not disappointed. They offer reasonably priced and outstanding breakfast sandwiches. We ordered some pastries and coffees as well - both of which were excellent as well. There is a nice dining area in back along with a shared table in front. Sandwiches were prepared in about 10 minutes. There is a small market portion where you can buy beer, wine, vegetables and fruits.

We love GR!!! They have become our 2nd kitchen for breakfast & lunch, and even Monday Suppers! Everything is always delish! And the community they have created inside their 4 walls is truly special.

If I could give this place 10/10 I would. The food is amazing, highly recommended the breakfast sandwich with an iced coffee. The griddled banana bread is perfection. Most importantly the staff and owner are super nice and friendly. This is the type of place you want to keep coming back to

Love this place. Jenny and Craig are so chill and friendly. The burgers and breakfast sandwiches are superior. And the griddled banana bread is top godamn drawer. Like I had no idea banana bread could do that. Griddled? With flaky salt? Brilliant play guys. Absolutely brilliant.

Quaint little roadside grocery/diner in the middle of the Hudson Valley. We stopped down after picking fruit at Rosehill farm. It’s great for a nice simple lunch, I.e a grilled cheese, egg sandwich, burger, turkey melt. Simple classics that always hit the spot. I’m sure their specials are also great. The griddle banana bread was really moist and tasty. Chef does add salt to the top, which my wife liked but I pushed off. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Would definitely return if I was in the area. There are some local goods and beverages (alcohol too) to be head. Recommend if you are nearby!

Super sweet café that also carries all kinds of local goods and sundries. Definitely worth going out of your way to stop in for breakfast or lunch if you are exploring beautiful Dutchess county!
