If I could rate this place higher, I would! The shop inside is a little pricey but the quality is amazing! So many cool things in there. The main star in my opinion is the cafe side. The sandwiches and soup were so good! Jeffery (I think that was his name, apologizes if not!) was soooo awesome. Super sweet guy. Theres a nice area you can eat out outback that is right on the stream. cant wait to stop back in the next time im in the area.
I stopped here while driving through the area and half expected an overly curated, over-priced cafe designed to appeal to visiting Brooklyn residents/escapees. While this place does have an NYC feel to it (ex: it has a large supply of high-end tinned fish in fancy packages) and its goods are arranged in an aesthetically pleasing way, it's not a gimmick. Welcoming atmosphere, super friendly service and excellent food. I got the eggs/arugula/avocado on multigrain toast (with smoked salmon added) to go—it was easily the BEST egg sandwich I've ever eaten, ever. Beyond that, the chef came out to chat with me, just because, and paid special attention to my allergy concerns. Expect higher prices than a typical highway pitstop (my sandwich was $15, though sizeable!), but exceptional hospitality. Highly recommend!
Really wanted to like this place. Seems like they have a great selection of grocery items and the menu sounded great but the sandwiches we ordered were just not very good… at all. Bread seemed store bought and tasted old, fillings were ok. Overall far below what you expect for a $14-$15 sandwich.
We have been coming very often since covid hit, and we bought a house upstate. We always stop in to get delicious vegan sandwiches and coffee. My sandwich of choice has been the Willowemoc, and my boyfriend always gets the beaverkill with fresh local trout! They also have perfected delicious coffee! The staff has almost always been friendly, but it seems that they switch out often. I only ever remember the barista, Jackson. I was worried at first that a kid was making my coffee, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was the best latte I've had. He always seems to be doing something to help us, and I couldn't be more surprised because no where else have I seen such great service. The market is very lovely too! Lots of unique selections with local items. The market staff is very knowledgeable and always helps lots.
This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing , and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. The food is great, my favorite is their warm ciabatta rolls and Raspberry lemon tea.
Chef Michael Costello made an Omelette Espanol that I just devoured. Absolutely world class! I’ve also had the chicken dumpling soup, potato salad and egg salad in the last few days, all of which have been top notch. Superb take out food!
This is a Treasure for The Manor ! Stopped in with my family ..and mini dachshund in tow for lunch on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. This is a petfriendly .. people friendly eatery centrally located in the Manor .All the staff were knowledgeable and friendly.. & so welcoming .There were so many vegan options ..we chose the Vegan Rubens which were delicious. 5 stars
Good selection of curated items in the market. If you can only make one stop for local goods this would be the place. I also enjoy their lunch but be ready to order ahead as there is usually an extended wait. You can also order online.
First time here, the staff was super friendly and helpful with our questions. They recommended the Manor and the Beaverkill sandwiches which were both delicious! We got the seasonal special latte also delicious! Definitely try their kombucha on tap.
What a wild place. Really great food, great produce and merchandise. Terrible TERRIBLE service. Our order was wrong multiple times: we were given half the soup in a large cup with no offer of a refund, coffee was wrong, sandwich was missing key ingredients. The staff were miserable, shouting at each other, and a look of pure disgust on their face at all patrons. To top it all, there were people outside the cafe shouting about going to fight one of the workers, and even went into the cafe and shouted about fighting them after work and beating them up. Maybe we just caught it on a bad day, but there is serious lack of management or customer service here.
We stopped in a few years back and the food and service was quick and polite. Our visit this time around was totally opposite. First why is there only one paper menu available? Especially when there is a line 6-8 people deep. My husband asked for one type of sandwich and was told they couldn't make it, same on another one, third try the cashier pointed to premade sandwiches huh,? My order was available, when called to get it the person couldn't be bothered to hand it to me as I approached her, just put it on the coffee bar and walked away. Not exactly friendly. So two small sandwiches and a bag of chips , 36 bucks 😱 sorry, not sorry, won't be back.
I like the food here. A little pricey.
Really charming spot. Great coffee and sandwiches but also a well stocked grocery option with good meat and dairy. It is a bit more pricey than your typical grocery store but the quality is also better. So it’s all relative. Definitely worth a visit.
Love the tasty sandwiches, soups, and local draft beer and cider - especially enjoy sitting on their deck overlooking the rolling river on a nice day
Neat place with great coffee & excellent (if pricey) groceries. The food situation is kind of odd, I've been now twice in the past week at normal hours and they just seemed to not have any sandwiches or menu or anything, just some premade sandwiches in the cooler. Sort of a weird vibe. The folks behind the counter didn't seem to know what was going on either. Too bad because we were looking forward to the full menu. Worth a stop nonetheless
Excellent food and service. The market had great produce and unique products.
Always a disappointing experience. As someone who's been full time since the pandemic in Livingston Manor I have tried to support the local businesses as much as possible. Every time I attempt to shop there I end up regretting my decision which leads to less and less frequent stops. It's no doubt they have higher quality items than many other shops locally. You can find $30 pound of coffee beans but is the premium worth the over all experience for what you pay? Slow check out and sub par customer help ( management and training not the employees fault) always leaves me more dissatisfied than pleased with the experience.
Amazing breakfast, ice coffe really good , nice vibe , clean and happy environment
Very cute little store, local goodies, Catskill NY feel... Quaint little downtown.
Great spot for local groceries - pick up a gf donut or kombucha on draft!
