Easily the best coffee in town!
I love the brand/owners/company. I’ve had their beans before and they’re really good. And I want to really love their coffee. But I don’t. The reason why I choose small coffee shops over big brands like Starbucks is to a. Support small businesses and b. Because I want actually good coffee. I think if baristas all did a small barista course/had a day to actually train on bar it would really make the coffee better. I find the espresso overextracted, the milk burnt and notice baristas not cleaning the milk jug, not tamping correctly. These are problems that are easily fixed with a quick training session and would really help the consistency of their coffee. There’s been times where the coffee tastes great and then the next day with a different barista, I have to dump out my drink. As someone who managed a specialty coffee shop I know it’s relatively cheap to hire someone for the day to train all the baristas and would immediately fix a lot of issues with quality.
We stopped by on a whim and couldn’t have been more pleased!! The gentleman working was so pleasant and seemed to rlly care about giving the customers the best experience. The coffee was delish and affordable compared to other shops! All in all hands down the best coffee shop in Bronxville! Will for sure be back:)
Watery coffee and lattes. Had to go to another coffee place directly after. Bummer because I had high hopes based on great reviews. Hopefully it was just a fluke.
My favorite coffee shop. There are quite a few in Bronxville, but this one is the best. Setting up a house account has been great for getting quick coffee. And now they sell coffee brewing equipment! They were super knowledgeable and helped me replace my broken coffee grinder with a nice upgrade. I love having this place nearby.
My 1st time stopping by this place which was clever enough to sit somewhat of their pastries outside on the sidewalk which was temptation enough for me to stop and try the cinnamon monkey bread which the young lady cheerfully warmed up for me and recommended as her favorite also I will definitely stop by and get another one it was very large and satisfying for $5 on a chilly New York day.
Great espresso.
Been here a few times and the coffee is always good and the workers are kind. However the last two times I’ve been there so has a man who seems to be the owner, and he is not nice. He’s very gruff and honestly rude. First time I thought I caught him on a bad day but by the second time I knew it was just his personality. One of the times he took my order and when I asked the syrup flavors (which I asked because sometimes they have fun things like elderflower) he said “the regular stuff that’s everywhere” in a super demeaning way to brush me off and then a girl from the back told me the syrups as he rolled his eyes. The second time he just pushed past me to walk in. So weird. I don’t understand why someone like that would open a business that’s customer facing. The workers making the drinks clearly keep a distance from him too.
Very nice coffee shop with baked goods. Came here for the first time & loved it. Just wish there was a seating area or at least outside of the place. The Clyde was amazing! Highly recommend if you love espresso and hot chocolate! I also got the cinnamon monkey bread that was good. No inside seating, strictly a take-out counter, but near a small outdoor seating area that's across the street & there's also a walking trail that's a few blocks away.
I love this place, they have great coffee, and they let you set up a house account if you go there a lot, so you can just pop in and give them your name. No inside seating, strictly a take-out counter, but near a small outdoor seating area (across the street) and a walking trail (a couple of blocks away). Also very close to the train station, making it easy to go by as you commute.
Customer service is quick, professional but on the cold side. Makes you feel like you’re in the city and are ordering while on the way to work during the morning rush prepandemic. I wouldn’t change a thing about this place other than to add a wider selection of pastries. Great spot!
Great service, great coffee. There’s a lot of competition in the area but this one beats it
Never had crack but I'm sure if I did I'd say the coffee here was as good as crack. Joking, but I'm serious about how good their coffee is.
In order to support a local business I buy my drip coffee beans here and sometimes a coffee. Sometimes I buy my espresso beans here and grind at home as I do drip beans. When my espresso grinder died I had them grind for me for espresso, they ground them on an uncalibrated grinder and pulled 1:2 shot in 11 seconds. Total garbage, then after throwing that bag away I bought another and had to tell the clueless employees to set it to Turkish or in between, they seemed to not even know what 18g in and 36 out even meant, which explains why I always thought their espresso was no good. A friend sent me a bag of beans as a gift and they refused to grind for me, even though they had wasted my money grinding their own beans poorly without even offering to replace when I went back. What an absolute abomination of customer service. I have forgotten more about coffee than this place and they just lost out on thousands of dollars of future business. Absolutely no one seems to understand the concept of being a customer focused small local business. Good luck.
I love this little coffee shop so much. As a new mom of a very fussy baby, I really appreciate their text ahead order system. Today specifically I called when I was parked out front because I was alone with my son and he was asleep. Kristin immediately offered to bring my order out to me. It was a small thing but a huge deal to me. I haven’t tried their coffee but their iced chai latte is so good. I would go Booskerdoo over Slave to the Grind any day.
I’ve been dropping by Booskerdoo at least once a day since the beginning of COVID, when they stayed open to safely and selflessly serve the neighborhood. The owners and staff have created a wonderful, family friendly operation…they go out of their way to get to know their customers, their kids and dogs, and often times hand out complementary sweets and Booskerdoo swag. Even in such a chill neighborhood, I’ve witnessed impatient, dramatic customers (like the most recent reviewer claiming the owner treated him “with disdain”) that flail their arms in visible frustration about the crowd that sometimes forms outside of the door (since COVID they are a walk up only establishment). You have to either laugh at or feel bad for (adult) customers that feel the need to throw tantrums for a cup of coffee - rolling their eyes ande tapping of their feet, or worse, swearing at the staff in front of children. Keep it up Team Booskerdoo!
Rudest staff (owner?) in the world. Unless you have a house account, in which case he ignores all other customers and treats you with disdain. Coffee isn’t that great frankly.
אין כניסה לחנות. ההזמנה מגיעה החוצה. מחירים גבוהים שלא תואמים את האיכות. חניה בתשלום באיזור.
