Grug come with friends, grug like place. Food good and waffle very good. Grug also think staff very nice. Grug only think wait too long, think maybe need bigger space for more people. Grug think maybe grug and friends make this place regular like in famous show friends, like funny sitcom.
Really cool spot for breakfast. Both sweet and savory waffles, with very nicely fine and extremely delicious food. Portions not overwhelming so you are satisfied but not over full. Highly recommend, but be prepared to wait.
A very busy breakfast/coffee location with a limited but excellent variety of breakfast foods. Tables are fairly closely spaced, which means chatter noise can get high at times.

Quaint and quirky in the right measures make this a very popular place for lunch or breakfast. A cool and funky staff make placing your order a smile fest. High quality food and beverages make the whole experience a "let's do this again" type thing. Go and enjoy.😊
Just what I was looking for. I live in Clifton park but they don’t have anything as cozy as this hidden gem. Not only is it cozy the food is great and the prices are good. Will be worth the drive for my weekly brunch
Had a good enjoyable lunch at Iron Roost today with my sister, until I checked the bill. Beware!! The menu prices are not always what they charge. We ordered BLT’s with wheat bread. The bill showed the price of two BLT’s at $15 which was what the menu said. However they added $4 because we asked for wheat bread!!! The menu did not say anything about a fee if you wanted bread rather than their waffle thing. Tea was $3 and soda about $2.75. Plus a charge for using a credit card without any sign about a credit card fee. Since I had to pay for our food before I saw and ate it, I reluctantly left a tip Of 20%. I told the cashier I was not use to giving a tip before I saw the service and she said service would be good. I am sorry I wasted my 20% after getting my food and bill. Our BLT had one or two strips of bacon, it was hard to see and count but not like the BLT’s I am use to with 5 or so pieces of bacon in the restaurants I usually eat go to in Glens Falls. We both felt the $27 was way over priced for what we got. Admittedly, I do not eat out much; only 3 to 4 times per week, but I felt Iron Roost’s prices are too high for their self order-from-the-counter set up or quality of food. I am amazed the people who live in Ballston continue to frequent this restaurant. My sister and I grew up in Ballston and enjoy returning to BS frequently but will not go to the Roost again👎. From Two dissatisfied customers who will not return.
This place was amazing, make sure your on the wait list online though it's busy, but omg. The place was super clean, and not over loud so big plus for me. The food is to die for and the coffee is awesome. I will 100% be going back, well worth the 45 min drive IMHO.
Really good food and cute place. My wife and I enjoyed a sneak date here. Interesting how you order, then get your table, then they bring your food, but it worked.
This Pineapple Upside-down Waffle ranks among the top 3 waffles I've ever had. Truly amazing, definitely order this special if you catch it. They should consider adding it on the regular menu!
Love their waffles, and their servers are all very friendly. Nice quiet brunch/lunch place for a date. Strongly recommend their eggs Benedict, YuM
YUMMY food and such wonderful, attentive staff! I could eat the Two Birds Egg Sammy every day of my life. Their iced coffee is also superb!

I was visiting from out of town and the Google rating suggested this place as great. Honestly, they make the Best chicken salad I've ever had! Price was a bit harsh, though, and going in without knowing they'd be that expensive was a bummer. I didn't have the time to find another place and the atmosphere is drawing. I'd love to go back but with a budget.

Love the atmosphere, food, drinks, everything. I’ll give five stars because this place is the BEST in so many ways. But I will add that the lady I frequently get at the counter is horribly curt and unfriendly. I have tried to smile, be super pleasant, always say thank you very sincerely, and she just has a miserable scowl on her face. I don’t know if this is how she is with everyone or not. Other than this I absolutely adore this place.

Such an amazing place. The food is so delicious, the staff are so friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect for breakfast. The coffee speciality drinks are a must try. So happy we found the Iron Roost doing a google search for Breakfast in Ballston Spa.
Clean, polite staff, NOISEY, not a place to linger. A step above fast food: food ordered at counter, delivered to table, at least they bus the table! Sandwich sounded great, lacked the zip that would prompt a return visit.
