Learning a lot of good restaurants in Carlsbad , helping a friend , but don't take my world try them yourself
We shared a breakfast burrito and were happy we did! They are huge. Seems like a place that all the workers go for breakfast.
Good food with fast service.
I visited this restaurant on my way back home. When I attempted to pay, my card had been subjected to fraud and my financial institution deactivated it. The owner told me that I need to pay my bill now. I explained to her that I was trying to. I even showed the waitress the amount I had in my account. Once I got it straightenEd out to where I could withdraw cash I came to the store and asked to speak to the owner and the waitress. The owner threatened to call the police. She told me that I had to leave something of value before I could leave the restaurant with my card to try and pay for my meal. I have never been accused of something like this, or been so embarrassed in my life. I gave the waitress a very good tip and told her that it's a shame that she has to work at such a poor establishment with horrible management.
Small, hometown feel. Very friendly wait staff. The French toast and biscuits and gravy were great!

Best Cinnamon Rolls & Coffe in New Mexico! The staff has always been friendly and service is quick. We've been here 2 days in a row for our Honeymoon trip.

Born and raised in NM, and this probably the best juevos rancheros I have ever had. Highly recommend.
This place is always slammed The food is pretty average and and the service is adequate he'll get a refill maybe once and you'll definitely get your change thrown at you
Oil field community breakfast place... Good food good people... They just assume I'm oilfield when I'm not...
Food is great. I usually get the #17. The only issue is its really crowded which is very good for them! Doesn't stop me from going lol

I'm not from these parts, we came to visit from San Antonio, Tx. And found this little place. The food is absolutely amazing. I had the Turkey & avocado sandwich (grilled). W the creamy green Chile soup. The pancakes are perfect. Everything we had was just delicious. The servers were very nice. The place is a bit small. But I did notice there's a a lot of to go orders. This was the second time here on THIS visit.
I visited Pecos River Cafe while sightseeing at the Caverns in Carlsbad. This is the best little cafe !! I can't tell you how much I loved their food. I'm very particular when it comes to my green and red Chile and they scored a home run in my opinion. I had the opportunity to order various plates off their menu and every time was excellent to say the least. Don't leave without taking a cinnamon bun with you. They are made from scratch and are delicious!! This cafe was clean and tidy and all the servers are kind and courteous, I'll keep coming back for sure ! Worth every penny!
Man this food is good. They are so busy. Breakfast is out this world Does not matter what you order. It is large and fresh.
Very cheap food , not the good kind tho. Very cheaply made, hash browns were not flavorful and you literally could make this meal from family dollar ! Pancakes were not 100% cooked , but soak it in some syrup and you will be fine. Um 😐 the green Chile made me sad, I thought NM was supposed to be all about that life. Honestly the food was so bland I felt like I was teleported to Ohio. Come to this place with a little appetite and hot sauce in your bag and prepare your mouth to be bored!!
Good American food. Not so good Mexican food. We got pecos burger which came with green chilli soup and it was delicious. I got huevos rancheros and it was okay. It felt more Tex-mex than Mexican m. This place is loved by locals it looks like . The staff is very nice and we got seated pretty fast.
Food was simple, but good. Service was great and our server was excellent and friendly. They serve breakfast and lunch all day, but charge you a dollar more if you order breakfast past a certain time.
