Came in here and first thing I noticed was no one greeted me though I was the only one in there. Then after a few minutes, one of them answered a call while I stood there waiting on someone to acknowledge me. Finally a woman walks up, but was not warm or nice. I ordered a small cupcake and she put it in a paper bag with NO PACKAGING! I said wait the cupcake will be completely smashed and she shrugged her shoulders and said well 🤷🏼♀️. I said you don’t have any packaging for the cupcake and she said, “No.” So I said no thank you I’m going to pass, and she got upset that I did not finish my order. I was upset that she lacked warmth + empathy, and does not know how to have the proper packaging for cupcakes. They need to work on their customer service and their packaging/branding.
Looking for an amazing bakery, go to Sweet in Hoboken on 3rd and Garden. Not only was our red velvet cake delicious but absolutely gorgeous!
Best cupcakes I had so far in Hoboken. They have mini versions of all flavors. They also have gluten free cookies and brownies. Must try - Chocolate ganache cupcake and Red Velvet cupcake.
Their cupcakes are delicious and I love the variety they offer, HOWEVER, almost every time I buy one, I discover it is stale. The other day I specifically asked them whether the ones I was buying were fresh, and they said yes (as they always do), and it was yet another lie that I was served. Their cupcakes are more expensive than other bakeries, so for that price I expect much better service. That's why this bakery is always my last resort on a Sunday (when my go-to bakery is closed), which is a shame, as they have so much potential.
I don have cupcakes/muffins very often, but today we tried the mini ones from Sweet and they were absolutely amazing! They are flavorful, tasty and with a nice texture! Our favorite one was the mocha one!! Lovely store with lovely cupcakes! 💯 recommended!
I had a custom cake made for my son's birthday. They were polite and patient in trying to help me achieve the design that I wanted. The cake was delicious and not over the top sweet like some bakeries that make theme cakes. We've been long time customers for cupcakes and coffee. We're very pleased with the results and would definitely work with them again.
Got 4 regular sized cupcakes for 20 dollars. (2 Vanilla cake & 2 chocolate both w/ chocolate frosting) The cake was dry and crumbly-- seemed like it was not freshly baked and had to be at least a day old, if not older. Extremely disappointed in the quality. Edit: I just had one of the chocolate ones and even a day later, it was so much better than the vanilla one I had yesterday. This leads me to believe that the vanilla one I had yesterday was at least a few days old, or just a bad batch.
The cupcakes are absolutely amazing! I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes from Sweet for a gender reveal, and 3 days later, the cupcakes are still moist. Highly Recommend their cupcakes!
Frosting was good but the cake was not fresh almost stale. Not sure why it was so dry and tough but now what I expected after the review. I ordered 6 and they were all the same. Maybe these were left out overnight?

This is hands down my favorite bakery, I lived in Hoboken when Angela first opened her doors and we still order cakes for special occasions many years later. The cheddar scones on the weekends are amazing and don’t sleep on the hot chocolate!!! Miss my weekly cupcake 🧁
Birthday cake. Cake tasted frozen and defrosted , very dry. So sweet i could even take another bite. Do disappointed!

I went to a birthday party where they had these mini cupcakes, and I could not stop eating them! So good - I tried a few different flavors! I am ordering from here for my son's birthday party, too. The ordering process was smooth over the phone.
One thing I love about these cup cakes are that they have a density to them. Unlike other cupcakes that are super soft and sometimes fall apart way too easy. Not these. The thickness adds to the cupcake and it’s sometime I appreciate. The flavors are great. Definitely filling.
Cupcakes are consistently fresh and delicious. Custom Cakes, however, are not. Cake was dense and cold like it was frozen even hours after picking it up- most of the cake went in the garbage as no one enjoyed it. The cake was decorated nicely but really not edible. They also do no have boxes that actually fit their custom cakes which is a problem if you are traveling far with the cakes.
Management is not friendly at all
Absolute best cupcakes! Staff is always super friendly too. Love this place!
Their chocolate chip cookie dough is next level delicious! Their Mocha cupcakes are my favorite!
