Need to learn how to bake. Pecan pie was raw. And red velvet cake was brown ,dry and had buttercream frosting instead of cream cheese. For the price they charge they are not worth it.
This is definitely the place to go if you want amazing bakery items. The doughnuts are the best. I have spent most of my life in the area and I never get tired of them
Great hometown bakery with fresh donuts
Love the job and love everyone who works there ❤ 💕 💜
Great !!!
Best cakes in town. Jen can literally make anything. Flavors are always tasty and the cake itself is never dry. Always my go to lady for any event !
I originally lived in Scott's bluff always loved the gearing bakery I have since moved to Colorado but every chance I get I order cake from the Gering bakery I'm always so happy, this past weekend I wanted a Chantilly cake. The lady said she didn't have the ingredients to make one but that she could make one like it. I said OK. That was the most delicious cake everyone said that they had ever had. I had the words delicious, amazing cake,oh my God this is good. Thank you
Our daughters 11th birthday was a success! Thank you to gering bakery for making the cake she absolutely loved ! We ordered a full sheet at first thank goodness we downsized to a half sheet with half chocolate and half vanilla! The kids loved every minute of it! They really did a wonderful job and their communication with us downsizing was amazing! Again thank you all at the bakery sooo much! Them delivering it was a life saver
I cannot understand why the owner complain about not finding good help in the newspaper for all to see and then try to pay someone willing to work only $9 an hour!!! Are you kidding me want everyone to feel sorry for ur business but then only pay that amount..it's a slap in the face!!
Great homemade donuts and cookies
In the midst of a pandemic and a mother of twin babies who does not leave babies with a sitter, I found it to be very poor customer service that I could not do a consultation over the phone and send images of cake ideas via email or any other form of messaging. I contacted the bakery via phone over 2 months in advance to verify if they had availability for my event date to do a custom cake, 2 smash cakes and possibly even cupcakes as well and was asked to come in. I asked if any exceptions could be made and was told yes, they took down my name, number and even my email address and said a decorator would contact me within the week. No one called. I called back 4 weeks later asked if my date was still available, they said yes and said and that it would be easier if I went in, I explained it would be harder for me as I dont have help, I dont leave my babies and they don't do well in unfamiliar public places. I was told again that someone would call me for a consult. I waited two more weeks and called again and this time told them that this is the second time I've made contact. This time I was told a head decorator would contact me asap and they never did. Yes during this 2 month period I had been making contact with other places that could possibly make the type of cake I wanted as I had actually started contacting places 3 months in advanced and none of my top picks were available.
We got some fantastic donuts and muffins here! Very friendly and fast service!
DELICIOUS!!!! Will stop here every time I'm in town.
Wonderful woman assisted me with excellent service.
This bakery is a local landmark for the best doughnuts. They also made cabbage burgers but since the COVID virus, I don't know if they still make them. But, I know what they do still make is delish. The only doughnut I can compare to The Round Rock doughnuts in Round Rock, Texas. Melt in your mouth yummy!!!
Thank you Gering Bakery for the lovely baptism cake. Everything was even better than we expected. So beautifully done!
I went there to get cookies for my niece and nephew and they had these cute franistines and the children loved them they were so excited to see their tongues black from the frosting. The cookies tasted good too!
In town for business..took kids in for donuts. My kids took a bit picking out their tasty treats , and the gal impatiently rolled her eyes at us while we chose. All to get back to the hotel to see the wrong donut was in the bag for my 5 year old anyway. Aside from the customer service, the donuts were very good, light and airy, and not heavy or dry!
Always amazing sweets, made from scratch too!
Rather expensive for simple donuts. Bluffs bakery is much better and offers a larger variety. Donuts were also a little hard, both on the dough and the frosting. Cookies had an overabundance of frosting which was ridiculous and not the best tasting might I add. It really has gone down in the past few years ):
