I know it’s the experience you go for, but the food was lacking. The chicken and dumplings are better at Cracker Barrel. The dumplings were not even the color. They taste like they come from a package. The roast beef tasted more like pork roast with brown gravy from a package. The mashed potatoes were instant. The white beans and okra were ok. I do not believe I will go back. The rolls aren’t that great.
Sooooo much FOOD!!! Got the Chef Salad with Grilled Chicken in a bread bowl. Super yummy and HUGE!!! I took 3/4 home with me. All the pass-arounds, especially the most awesome fried okra, were super hot! Our table only missed catching one roll ...my brother! Others at table had Chicken Fried Round Steak and Roast Beef....both wonderful. Y'all definitely need to eat here!!! Didn't get a pic of rolls being thrown :( The best rolls!!!
Food. Lots of food. Good food too. Lambert's has to be experienced. It's like an amusement park but for food. 🤣 The place is huge, yet they never lost focus on the customer. Had the brisket special which was good, a little dry, but still pretty tasty. The fried okra was great and the fried potatoes were the best I've had. And the rolls...who doesn't love catching a roll from across the room. That's a worth it winner for me in any world. And they're good rolls too. Great service and value. Lambert's home of the throwed roll lived up to its name.
The food and atmosphere are excellent. A must try whenever you're near Springfield, MO. Don't worry about the lines they move fast.its worth it. Chicken fried steak is so tender it cuts easily with a fork. Large portions. Awesome thrown rolls!
I'm from California but the wife and I visit family in Missouri and we seen this place on YouTube so we wanted to try it. After 3 or 4 visits to Missouri I finally decided to look up the reviews and was disappointed to see some say this place is overrated or the food wasn't good. I was with my cousin and he said "no let's try it anyway" and I am glad we did. This place is very very crowded. We went around 2pm and that's probably the best time to go. But the food was fantastic! I'm so glad I didn't let the reviews stop me. I am a foodie and I eat at a lot of high dollar restaurants from San Francisco to Florida. This place won me over and I will always stop at one of their locations if on my route. I had a full slab of ribs and my cousin had the catfish. And the pass around sides were the best! The fried potatoes and then the okra ❤️ P.S. the throwed rolls OMG!
Subpar food, great atmosphere though. The throwing rolls are definitely the main star of the show, hot and delicious and it's fun to catch it everytime! The pork steak was pretty good but mom didn't like the chicken dumplings, it was almost like soup. The chef's salad was served in a bread bowl, a bit excessive. The portions could feed a whole family but that's how they do it in the south. Great service. Overall recommend!
Such a fun place to go eat. Yes they really throw rolls. They bring around okra, fried potatoes, Macaroni noodles with tomatoes and beans while you eat. High energy place. Be prepared to wait 30 mins for a table but food if worth it. Has a cute gift store as well.
Love this place, food delicious! Thrown Rolls hot and yummy! Fun place! Belly full when you leave there so good!
Lamberts was really good comfort food, we went on a weekday so wasn’t busy. Atmosphere was really cool, food was really good. I got the chicken fried steak, was as good as it can get. The roll throwers need to work on there game, kept coming up short lol, still really fun. Overall a must visit if in the area
What an Amazing and fun place to eat!!! The atmosphere is very homey. It’s a little pricey but totally worth it! I had the roast beef and my husband had the chicken fried steak. Both were quite tasty and super filling, didn’t even finish all of it. Come with an appetite. You will not leave hungry. Especially with the free sides they offer from bowls servers walk around with. Watch out for the flying rolls🤣!! If you like molasses there’s a server that drizzles it on a roll for ya😋 Taylor S was a fantastic server.
It's always a fun time! My chicken was pretty pink and when I showed the waitress she agreed but didn't even offer to give me new chicken and looked at me crazy when I asked for one.
Love this place!! The food is amazing and you get so much of it! The sides coming around are fabulous also! Sweet tea done so southern right!
Quick service, pleasant staff, good food. Only complaint was husband feels his burger was a little bland. My meal was great.
It was fun, service was good, friendly people, and again, fun. The roll throwing was funny and our teenagers were smiling. My son-in-law was hesitant and said they better not hit me in the head with a roll" but enjoyed himself. They will just hand it to you! Food was good, they mostly had the chicken fried steak. I was able to find something gluten free, the grilled pork chop. It was good. Was a good end to a vacation.
The wait staff are terrific. The food is just not that good. I ordered chicken livers and they didn't seem to know how to keep them from becoming charcoal bits. I essentially paid 15+ so my brother's dog could have a meal. (I couldn't eat them, but we took them home for the dog and he'll think they are the best thing ever.) The only thing that tasted great was the rolls, which would have been even better if they provided real butter, instead of butter-like yuck with preservatives. The candied yams were clearly straight from the can. And same thing for the beans. I won't be eating here again. It was too loud for normal conversations.
One of the best places I've ever eaten. Everyone was super friendly, Dante our server was awesome. The food was out of this world. I'd highly recommend the Pass Around Plate. The staff keep coming by with amazing goodies. From country fried cast iron skillet potatoes and onions to macoroni elbows and tomatoes to the crispiest and hot fried okra and we can't forget hot fresh rolls that they throw to you. The.ln they give you sogrum molasses to dip it in. The fried chicken livers were to die for. Amazing atmosphere, down home cooking and good friends. If you are near a Lambert's, YOU'VE GOT TO STOP IN!
This is must-go place. Food is good. Besides the meal and side, they bring grilled potato, fried okra, and others. The throw-roll is so fun. The decor is very cool and classy as well. The chicken liver is very good.
AMAZING!!!! Such a fun atmosphere with genuinely good food! The rolls are hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! Chicken fried steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. The mash potatoes, baked potato and beans were also superb. The chicken and dumplings were well balanced while tasting amazing. Would highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! Just get your hands ready to catch the flying rolls!!
Noticeable location. All parties must be present before being seated. Large waiting area. You’ll be ‘squished’. Long wait for food so don’t be in a rush. Fun and memorable experience. They have plenty of things to eat while you wait. Large cups. Good portions for food. Not too loud. Lots of people working so the service was exceptional.
We love Lambert's Cafe. This was our first trip to the one in Ozark, MO. We have been to the one in Foley. AL many times previously. This one in Ozark was just as good as in Foley. Always a wait as it is that popular, for good reason. You will never leave a Lambert's hungry! It is always fun to watch the men tossing the rolls.
