Pleasant place.
Best coffee in Ozark and some of the best coffee in the Ozarks. This place is an interesting concept: a full-fledged third-wave coffee shop that does business in plants, too. But the focus on the latter doesn’t compromise its excellence in the former—make no mistake, they do an amazing job with their coffee. Unlike the new Mudhouse location across the street, the focus here isn’t on sweet flavorings that serve to hide bitter, over-roasted second-wave beans. These guys source excellent lighter-roasted coffee (last I checked, I believe they were using beans from Ozark Coffee Co in Sedalia) and focus on bringing the best possible extraction from those beans. The simple milk-based espresso drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, and cortados) are beautifully smooth, with nutty undertones and beautifully textured milk (made with velvety microfoam, unlike the bitter coffee found under a dry foam cap like the place across the street). My personal preference tends to err on the side of cappuccinos, but if you’d like a little bit of a stronger coffee note, the cortado is made with a little higher coffee to milk ratio, while the latte has a bit more milk. Despite my preference for not adulterating the flavor of coffee with other flavorings, every now and then, if I drop by in the afternoon, I will find myself in the mood for something a little sweeter, and I will order one of their specialty or seasonal drinks. I find that they do a great job of using subtle flavorings that do not overshadow the taste of the coffee itself but rather balance and complement it. The lavender vanilla latte I had today featured lavender syrup from well-known craft syrup maker Pink House Alchemy out of Fayetteville. Delicious! I have not yet had the opportunity to try any of their food products, but some of the toasts that they put out look absolutely delectable. Also worth noting that this is one of the few third-wave coffee shops in the area that has a drive-through, and the wait is never long. (They
Loved stopping here! Loved customer service, concept, and available seating area.
What a fun local shop! We enjoyed seasonal toasties (delicious topped toast), fantastic coffee, and a fun plant shopping and potting activity. Ericka, our personal Caffeine & Chlorophyll Consultant took us through the process the The Lab and we had a great time!
So happy to find this place! Quirky and special 💥❤️. Loved the food and atmosphere. Will try the coffee next time. Great little areas for conversation! I'll be back soon!
Beautiful atmosphere & very tasty alternatives to coffee & coffee too. The Avocado 🥑 Toast was great and so was the Mud/WTR. Very nice staff too! I loved my first visit & being surrounded by plants was super nice Update! Try their spring drinks and new toast!
I want to love this place but their are so many gnats. I killed 4 while I was trying to drink my latte.
I’ve been there once before and had a good experience but came in last minute with 6 other people and they were super accommodating and kind. The food and coffee was great, the esthetic with the light and plants is great as well. You won’t be disappointed!
🌱☕️ LOVE THIS PLACE ☕️🌱 I love working from cute little coffee shops, but if I’m being honest… I’m not super into the “snuggly and dark” ambiance that a lot of them have to offer (nothing wrong with that vibe, just not my thing. ☕️🤷♀️) That’s why you can often find me at Urban Grounds Coffee!! I absolutely love how they managed to balance the coziness of a traditional coffee shop with the charm of a lively, bright, and happy atmosphere! ☀️ If you’re looking for a café in Ozark with lots of natural light, greenery, healthy–yet–delicious options, great coffee, and smiling faces… look no further than this sweet little place that can be found right in our own backyard! You’ll be supporting a lovely local business and probably be leaving with a cute little plant in your hands as well. 🪴 P.S. Look at this adorable char-CUTE-erie plate I enjoyed today!
I had the Winter Spice latte and a pecan roll. Both were tasty. I enjoyed the plant filled atmosphere. The owner was setting up a group event in the plant lab and I was wishing I was part of the group. I felt the pricing was a bit high - $14 for the coffee and the roll. All in all a good experience.
I met a friend here for coffee and we loved everything. I ordered a vanilla latte and had fun perusing their plants and other well curated items for purchase. The only downfall is that they close too early for evening meetups or study sessions but I have my fingers crossed they may expand their hours in the future 🤞🏼
I really enjoyed the coffee, and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend Urban Grounds.
Modern cafe, really good coffee, açaí bowl was really good 10/10
Not my speed but, ehh
The coffee was amazing and so was it the toasties.
Vast array of coffee beverages in addition to a plethora of alternatives from Mud/wtr and the like
Great coffee, great bites to eat, wonderful atmosphere, super friendly and helpful staff. Oh, and PLANTS. Love this place.
Very friendly and kind staff, super cute shop, I tried the Momsterra latte. Excellent flavor!
Everything about this place is excellent. The coffee, the service, the atmosphere. Everything.
