I got to visit this coffee shop today and as a public (non-student) visitor, I had a great time. A couple of tips: There is limited parking at the Student Center where the coffee shop is located. I parked at the chapel and walked up a short hill to get to the entrance. You can see the coffee shop from the entrance, so easy to find. The seating options are varied as there are a couple of tables and high tops for laptop users and some great comfy armchairs that are also available. The wifi password is posted on the wall by the main doorway, so that was a bonus. There is outdoor seating as well, just off of the main entrance, which is next to a Christian bookstore (that is also open to the public). The coffee is local (PT's) and the drip was good and very reasonably priced. They have a nice pour over menu as well but I didn't sample those this time. I enjoyed the welcoming and beautiful architecture and was able to get a few hours of work done at this new-to-me spot. Very thankful it is open to the public!

Sadly we we’re excited to try a new coffee shop in Gladstone area. Google states their hours as if they are a public place, this place is exclusive to students who have special access to the building. Needless to say we couldn’t get in and were just stared at by the Christian employees and students.

Coffee shop is not available for the public. Tried to get in and the doors were locked and people were staring at us and were no help at all.

Coffee shop not open in the morning. Must be for students only, but all doors are locked for public.

I always love trying new coffee shops. I was in the area and discovered this one and was so excited. I have never been made to feel more uncomfortable. The girl working the register acted like she didn’t even want to greet me and the other employee asked me what I wanted in a very bland unwelcoming tone. I do not recommend.

The Tomlinson Cafe is arguably the best coffee shop in the Northland. - Top quality Messenger coffee, - Knowledgeable and friendly baristas, and - plentiful seating is bookstore/student center for studying and hangs!

If fantastic coffee (and having good books in close proximity) give you joy, then you definitely want to check out Tomlinson Cafe! The coffee and food are amazing, the atmosphere in the Mathena Student Center is perfect as a place to study or to hang out, plus the Sword and Trowel bookstore next door has all sorts of great books to go along with the great coffee.

I really love the Tomlinson. This is one of the earliest opening and latest closing coffee shops in KC and a great place to study. The baristas are kind and energetic and the coffee is excellent. Top of my list!

Tomlinson Cafe is the place to be. An excellent atmosphere for both studying and catching up with friends. If you're like me and don't enjoy coffee they have tea, bottled drinks, pastries, and even ice cream.

Tomlinson Cafe is a great place to stop by for some great coffee and pastries. What makes this cafe exceptional, though, is the incredibly kind and intentional service given by the baristas. They are careful to not only get your order correct, but to ask about your day and get to know you as a customer - something you definitely don't find in every coffee shop!

I love my visits to Tomlinson! The staff are always kind and helpful, and always willing to have a conversation. Their seasonal specials are always fun, and the atmosphere is open and airy with cozy seating and lots of windows. Plus, they serve Messenger Coffee which is one of the best in KC!

Solid shop with high quality coffee and pastries. Haven’t been able to find a good coffee shop in the Northland since moving here, but TC definitely has provided that. Great people working there, and solid coffee/food/ice cream!
