Never been here and refuse to go. If you park in the parking lot next to them to go to the dispensary, they tow your car. This is unacceptable and inaccessible. Don't have a Black Lives Matter sign in your business and then tow cars from a business Black people frequent. Disgusting. Also, my partner and I are disabled and had a difficult time accessing the dispensary for our medication without being able to park in that lot.

We stopped by while my daughter had a children’s mercy visit. Loved the Hawaii atmosphere. Dole whip was good and huge. Menu pretty small but a really cute coffee shop

Love this Hawaiian themed caffe nested in the busy downtown Crossroads location. You can sense a chill, cosy atmosphere upon entering the place. I tried their special Alani Orange Latte and it was very delicious... The tanginess of orange peels paired with whipped cream sweetness and strong latte coffee. Recommend this place as a to-go for coffee and chill vibes lovers!

Cool spot on 18th. I got the Hawaiian Macchiato and it was good. Really cool vibe enough space to sit down and talk. Donuts looked good, but I couldn’t eat them.

This is one of my favorite shops in Kansas City!! The coffee is so good. They have a ton of unique options for flavors and drinks. I get the prickly pear lemonade if I’m not feeling coffee! The atmosphere is adorable with the tropical decorations and music. Every barista that works there has always been nice and welcoming as well❤️ OH AND!! They have dole whip that is DELICIOUS! Plus lots of other fun treats and snacks!

I’ve worked at HiTides for about 2 years now, and let me say it is the most wonderful place. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming! Every time I walk in the space I am reminded of the times I was in Hawaii. I live in Johnson County so the drive is a bit long for me but since I love being there so much it is worth the drive! I recommend it for anyone! I’m constantly bringing my friends there so they can also experience this space. Oh, and I have to mention everything on the menu is delicious! Fav things: Hawaiian Macchiato, Spicy Hawaiian Honey Pizza Bagel, Mele Maple Macadamia nut donut, Maple Matcha Latte, Pineapple and Vanilla dole whip twist.

I love this oasis in the Crossroads. First off, the island vibe that you feel when you walk in is contagious. Secondly, the coffee drinks and the creative food menu can only be found here. The Acai Bowl is insane and staff is always very friendly.

My favorite cozy-sit-down-and-read, friendly, city coffee shop. I love the location, the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, it’s full of plants and Hawaiian antiques….this place is a gem!

My most favorite coffee shop I’ve ever been to. The staff is amazing, the owners are always there and make themselves available to answer questions about their space and even offered me a private tour. This coffee shop isn’t an ordinary coffee shop, it’s a destination. I felt transported to a relaxing vacation spot the moment I walked in. Greeted promptly every time with a “welcome in”!….it’s my most favorite spot in Kansas City. Every single menu item I’ve had has been so unique and delicious. They make most of their own syrups, I love the smell of fresh baked pineapple upside down cake and banana bread when I walk in….seriously guys you have to check this place out! My family is out of state and l don’t get to see them often enough. Hitides treats me like I’m family and when I feel stressed or even lonely, Hitides is where I go. They have a parking lot they share with their neighbor (Duet, another wonderful shop), so it’s an easy decision where to go. Thank you Hitides for always making me feel welcome, for making me feel a part of something great and for making me feel like family. -Mel

Such a great spot with lots of different coffee/treat options that you don’t often see at other coffee shops. The relaxing Hawaiian inspired atmosphere and friendly staff makes this a place I love spending time in! I also really appreciate how handicap accessible they are. I take my mom out for Sunday outings from her assisted living and hi tides is such a good option to bring a bit of sunshine and happy into her life. In addition to the easy accessibility, the dedicated parking lot really helps make this spot an option for us.

horrible owner, will tow ANYONE and not bother asking them to move their cars. cares more about parking then making quality coffee. threw mine away, so gross.

Absolutely love the Hawaiian Macchiato and acaí bowls! The Dole Whip is lactose free, and the atmosphere feels like I'm on vacation in the middle of the city. The owners could not be more welcoming, and they create the syrups in-house. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great coffee and vibes that can't be beat! 🌺
