CMCR is always busy, but never fails to keep organized. I've never had a wrong order even on Saturdays during city market and everytime I get food, it's always delicious. This place is special and is a must visit if you're in Kansas City

Get a "Dirty Hippie", it's not on the menu... Eat the pop tart... Sit and watch the people. You'll never be so easily amused and entertained from a simple morning. Get the coffee black and you'll enjoy the effort that came from the whole process of bringing the beans to your mouth. Have a great day!

I love this place! The food options are phenomenal, though you’d never expect it. The people who work there are WONDERFUL. Plus, I know we are here for the amazing coffee, but you HAVE TO try the smoothies.

Since the owner does not reviel thier name i will not as well. The coffee and food I bought here were honestly not worth the headache. I tried to speak with staff about the issues i had, and instead of fixing them or coming to a resolution, they just wanted to argue and make it seem as thats the norm. The service is not good. After reading over other customer reviews, I can clearly see that this is not a trustworthy place of business. Kansas City has many shops with 100× better service and staff. Well, all I have to say is stay away from this shop. The abundance of under educated staff. Owner that finds humor in belittling customers and overpriced for service!

Any City Market regular knows that this is where the pick-me-ups happen. In their own little corner, City Market Coffee sits in a conveniently central spot, esssentially the glue holding this L shaped building together. Premium beans, delicious grub and quality service are a collective stimulant that should not be passed up by any coffee connoisseur.

white mocha was kinda gross but chai latte was bomb with an extra shot. sometimes you gotta cover up milk with extra espresso lol. but really the speed of service was great considering how busy they were on a Saturday afternoon & we even found a place right outside to sit for a minute!

Really disappointed about both of the coffee’s that I ordered, on the website I put a note to only add a quarter of the sweetener and I even asked the lady working if she could please make sure it was only a quarter of the sweetener.. my lattes came out sickening sweet. Thanks for the $16 dollars worth of lattes that I will be throwing away.

Spent eight dollars for a muffin and hot chocolate and ate outside and used restroom for 2 minutes and came out to have everything stolen 2 backpacks, passport, keys, owner said I had to leave because I was upset and raised my voice and made it seem it was my fault for trusting them so if you don't want anything stolen stay clear of this establishment.

I used to love this place. A little while ago I had asked the cashier if I could order an iced drink with 'no ice', if that would be okay. Given the go ahead I did just that. When the barista gave me my drink, I was met with a less than half filled cup. I was stunned. I politely asked what this was. She glared at me and with a nasty attitude read my drink order to me. Still dumbfounded, I grabbed my 'drink' and filled the rest of the cup with milk from the bar. Paying $6+ for what equates to 8 ounce of coffee , when I ordered a large, is INSANE and a total rip off. I know places 'cut costs' by over filling iced iced drinks with ice, but this was just beyond crazy. Lesson learned- if you want what you actually paid for, order only hot drinks here. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Edit- The company's response is ridiculous. You just blamed me for 'perceiving' the barista as rude (which she was), admitting that if you order a large iced drink, you are actually paying for only 8 oz of coffee, and attempted to 'shame' me for this review. Not a good look for this place.

Quick lunch stop on my trip to KC. Ordered a breakfast burrito and loved my Bliss juice. Lots of seating options, fun area of town.

Grabbed a Cubano espresso and a bacon breakfast burrito. Very good. Nice area too, main street feel…it is just off Main Street. Awesome building with a nice area to sit upstairs or outside. #KansasCity #coffeehouse Made sure to represent @kaladiBrothers #Alaska style with my coffee cup.

Always a stop when shopping at the City Market. The coffee was comparable to magma. SO hot. I had to add plenty of ice. The coffee is great though and the employees are helpful and friendly. Will always go back!

Coffee was hot and tasty. Full range of sweetners etc. available. The airpot I selected was getting low and required about 8 pumps to fill my medium cup. The staff could have been a little more attentive to the self-serve area.
