This ice cream shop is a hidden gem. My first time here and variety of flavors was awesome. Brought back child hood memories of the original superman ice cream. Girls that were working were super friendly and helpful. It's a little pricey but worth enjoying the atmosphere with friends and family. Will definitely be back anytime I'm in town
Love this place
Very cute little coffee/ice cream shop. They also sell cute toys and gifts. The staff was super nice and the ice cream was great. My son and I really enjoyed ourselves.
We were greeted, and felt comfortable. They let us sample and did not rush us at all.
I can see why it was poorly reviewed. Almost all the businesses here are that way. Not unfriendly, but stand-offish. We've lived in a neighboring town for the past 8 years, and this behavior is really common here. If they don't know you from childhood, there is rarely any warmth. After the clerk warmed up to us though, it was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is very old small town shop going upscale. Kinda nostalgic but with modern amenities. You can pay with a card, there is a rewards program. We enjoyed the ice cream. Sorry, no pics! We walked around and peeked in the shops while we ate. I ordered "exhausted parent" and my son got the cookie dough. The ice cream is nice. Not 5 star, but good. The flavor shines through.
So we found this place via a recommendation on "things to do in STL" a pretty popular Venus page on Facebook. This place is pretty out of the way we came off the recommendation they have some pretty cool ice cream options. We walked in looked at the menu the vibe was just off, we were getting stared down by customers there was no friendly welcome or even aknowlegement that we had walked in by the staff. A simple hello would have sufficed but no greeting at all we just felt unwelcome. To the point where my 7 year old said I don't like how it feels in here I want to leave. Maybe it's not for all customers just the locals.. we left without ordering.
