So I ordered the prime rib it came cold I sent it back it came back cold so after waiting 40 minutes the waitress finally came back she sent the food out with somebody else very very disappointed talk to the manager she didn't even try to make it right literally she handed me the bill and said I'm going to talk to her in the office but literally didn't offer anything to accommodate me didn't say hey since you had a terrible time this nothing I felt like my business was not appreciated here so I don't know if I would bother to come back again
Awesome food and atmosphere m. Their cakes are amazing as well.
I have been here a couple of times. If you sit outside, the name delivers. The view is awesome. The food is great the servers are very friendly. If you come during prime time, expect to wait a while to be seated. The breakfast menu is extensive. For lunch and dinner, they have sandwiches, salads, and seasonal entrées. The desserts looked homemade and scrumptious.
Locals clearly like the spot, maybe the dinner is great, but the Sunday brunch was sub par at best. Quick points: the toast wasn't toasted, the egg Benedict came on stale bread, and the cups smelled like fish. On the positive side, the prices weren't bad and the drinks were incredibly strong (maybe that's why it's a local favorite). Whole experience was mid. Decide for yourself.
Fish and oysters were good, but shrimp tasted dirty and hadn't been deveined.
Excellent place. The food was incredible. Out server was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was comfortable and made you want to just sit and talk for a bit after you finished.
I’ve been wanting to try Harbor View Cafe for a while. Today my mom and I decided to go for lunch. We arrived before they opened and waited. They opened the doors and we asked to sit outside. Our waitress came to take our drink order and was so rude. No table manners at all. She took out lunch order a while later someone else brought our appetizer out. I sat without a drink 25mintues. Another staff member gave me a refill. Someone brought or lunch out to us. Then when we were finished the waitress came over and gave us our check. Her personality changed trying to be nice for a tip. I do not recommend here. Very bland food and poor costumer service.
Outstanding place to eat. Wonderful menu with a great selection. Highly recommend. Fantastic location.
We went 2 days in a row it's so good! Great pecan pancakes and breakfast potatoes. Great coffee!
Wonderful place, good food, amazing service, super friendly and happy people. We ate a fried crab tomato, the best thing I ate. We also ordered fried oysters with catfish That was just so good, delicious, I could stay in that place eating all day. We also ordered a pistachio cake, it was very soft and wet and the taste was unique and very good
Seafood platter you figure atleast one of the three items to be good , unfortunately not . One of the worst meals of my life .burnt oil taste , hard oysters, fish fell apart to small pieces, and not going to talk about shrimp . Was the first time to eat there and definitely the last .
New resident to Long Beach and First time visiting this restaurant, we had a wonderful experience and a terrific server named Meredith. We had the Philly surf and turf and a roast beef po boy which as a person from NOLA was delicious with excellent gravy, also the fried pickles were so good and fried perfectly! My husband had a Bloody Mary which he said was delicious, and I have a strawberry mocktail mojito which was so fresh (she literally picked the mint from the bush outside and yummy! We will be back!
Service was prompt and friendly. Food was very tasty. Prices are reasonable.
This is an excellent place to end a day on the beach. We ate outside on the porch, and it was relaxing. Our server, Ashlyn, was amazing, very accommodating with a positive vibe. The food was great for a fair price. The ice tea was the best I've had in quite some time. I highly recommend this cafe! We will definitely be going back.
I got the crawfish Monica and loved it! Will get it again if we get back to the area. The food got there quick and service was ok.
Never had a bad meal from this place. I loved it! Friendly people, good food, by the water. Other than a strong drink (not sure if they have), what else can you ask for?!
Real down to earth food. Great tasting American fare. Delicious Ruben sandwich, great Philly cheese steak. Fun atmosphere and excellent service. Cost was $ and they have great homemade cakes also Blue Bell ice cream.
1st, the whole reason for the visit, the Food!! All three dishes were tops! 2nd, the service, smiles on every face, as well as a greeting. (almost unheard of anymore) So glad I live within walking distance. See you again VERY soon.
