The server was more interested in talking to her coworker than her diners. She forgot to get my daily special for me. And when I finally got my food, it was cold, and the gravy was clotted with grease. The boiled crabs aren't freshly boiled daily.

We were on our way to Florida and needed to grab something to eat…came a cross this mom/pop restaurant and it was a very good decision. The staff was friendly and the food scrumptious.

What a find, another example of "don't judge a book by its cover". The service is absolutely wonderful. The food is outstanding and the prices are extremely affordable, especially considering the majority of it is fresh seafood. The portions are ridiculously large, you will not leave hungry, I would wager that you won't be able to eat it all. Highly recommend stopping here.

The staff was absolutely amazing, incredibly attentive and nice. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. Seafood Gumbo was 10/10 as was the fish and shrimp. Couldn’t recommended it more.

Ordered 3 lbs of boiled crawfish. The crawfish was overcooked and very mushy falling apart. My very kind waitress stopped by the table to check on me and I asked if these crawfish was maybe warmed over. She saw how they were and asked if she could replace them. The owner came to my table and picked one crawfish from my platter and ate it. She looked at me and said they taste good to me and I offered her my complain but was treated as if I was stupid. When I was paying my tabs to her direct I said I was not complying about the taste of the crawfish but rather the texture was very over cooked and told her I didn’t eat half of them. Same smart response from her “”[ we been serving them all day with no complaints]. Wow what a negative attitude. I will not go back. When a owner of a restaurant cares more about the food cost she has to replace over a satisfied regular customer it’s says to me she could care less. For that reason I will not spend any more of my time or money at Macbe seafood

Awful food. I went in expecting fresh seafood instead. I got bagged soup and frozen shrimp.

You know this is one of those little hole in the wall restaurants that no one ever talks about and they need to. I got seafood gumbo, which was absolutely wonderful fresh blue crabs in it. Be sure to get plenty of napkins. Also ordered the shrimp plate. The onion rings were absolutely scrumptious. The shrimp was fried perfect. So if you’ve been wanting to go, I say hurry up visit this restaurant enjoy the food, because isn’t that what it’s all about. I will go back again and try something else on the menu. They have daily specials also.

Beverly was super friendly & accommodating server with lots of suggestions. Very at-home "diners, drive-ins & dives" feel. Conveniently located right off exit when there's nothing else really in area to eat.

Love their char boiled oysters, crab fries and onion rings. We ordered boiled crawfish for to go which was also great. Gumbo was too spicy for me but overall will still rate this place highly. Service/waitresses were warm/hospitable, Will be coming back.

It was crowded when we arrived for Sunday lunch. There was only two of us but they let us have the last 6 top table. They were very busy so it took a little while for our food to come out, but it was worth the wait. The onion rings are made in house, and they came out hot and crispy, with a delicious batter. The shrimp Po boy was overflowing with shrimp that were perfectly cooked. My roast beef po-boy was delicious, but it was impossible to pick it up and eat due to the excessive amount of gravy on it. I had to use a knife and fork. I'll get it again next time, but I'll ask them to go light on the gravy. My only disappointment was the soft shell crab; it was very small, and seriously overcooked. But that could have been a one-off, so I'll give that another try, too.
