We were here for afternoon tea. The tea was good, the service was pleasant and the accompaniments were nice. A few of the desserts seemed like they were frozen - thawed, which was a bit disappointing. You get a view of a pond from the window and a B&B like setting which makes it ideal for afternoon tea.

Amazing flavorful teas! The popovers were super tasty and fresh. I wish they had a vegan pastry, but the teas were great!

Popovers, quiches, and salad, oh my! This cute little tea room is nestled in downtown Northfield. The quaint, quiet atmosphere and rustic cottage decour creates the perfect back drop for a relaxing brunch on a rainy spring morning. The service was speedy and friendly and the food was delicious. Walk-ins are welcome for breakfast and lunch, but high tea requires reservations. Definately worth a stop! We will be back for high tea soon!

I came here for high tea with my wife who has a gluten allergy. The tea is amazing and the food just kept getting better. They made a gluten free scone that tasted like it was a regular fresh scone. It was soft and sweet. The finger sandwiches were delicious and I highly recommend the cottage chicken salad and the egg salad. There was a great assortment of gluten free and regular baked goods for dessert. The owners are very charming and friendly. Greta place to visit and a reason I would drive an hour to visit a small town.

Went to this charming little tearoom last weekend with friends. Hosts Lisa, Steve and Nick were delightful. The pot pie was really good, light salad excellent. Tried my friends vegetarian quiche which I will have to get next time. Great place for a quiet visit. Also love the local honey. ❤️❤️❤️👋👋👋 will be back.

This place is so cute!!!!!! Dude. I was blown out of the water. I feel like a little old lady meeting for brunch in west Germany with her little old lady friends. Also. The popovers are huge. And the red pepper Gouda soup is so delicious. Definitely go here.

Absolutely a slice of heaven for breakfast south of the river. The quiche was filled with cheese and ham, with a crispy perfect crust. Popovers were amazing with the homemade chantilly cream. I had to go back and try the seasonal French toast, it was absolutely delicious and more than I could eat. Filled with apples, soft and almost like a bread pudding with a nice crust for that little crunch to add texture and just the right amount of cinnamon. It came with 3 sausage links that were perfect! Their sausage hash brown bake is so flavorful with large pieces of sausage throughout, it’s a big that will fill you up. Also they have chai cookies, I am not a fan of chai tea but these cookies made me go back and get some to go!

Honestly, if you love High-Tea and scones like I do, you definitely want to taste their fare! Steve and Lisa Bolduc have renovated remarkable homes and businesses in the past and are experienced at this period décor. Their bed and breakfast businesses have a long history of offering remarkable teas and fare. And now they offer their own dedicated tearoom. Steve and Lisa Bolduc are veteran independent business owners and have the skills to start and run Contented Cottage Tea Room. It is amazing what people with a passion can accomplish. Patrons are loving the quiche whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There is nothing like getting a chance to taste made-from-scratch quiche from the Bolduc’s years of testing and perfecting this recipe. I had the Cranberry Oat Scone the other day. Being a British scone connoisseur since my days of living in London, I’ll be driving back to Northfield just for another one of these! Head Chef Steve Bolduc is the master behind these stunning tea sandwiches, desserts, and yummy soups. here has always been a round of praise when these delectable edibles (they look to pretty to consume) are served during High-Teas. Fresh honey is a favorite of mine in tea; and quite remarkably, they also offer honey for sale from their own bed and breakfast property in Northfield. It’s a fun experience to sit in the window of Cottage Tearoom and Fare while enjoying tea (or coffee) and the sights and sounds of the Cannon River. You can park street side or closer to the historic Northfield Post Office. With its 150 years of history, art, culture and education, Northfield was missing a tearoom – till now! I am super excited to highly recommend the Cottage Tearoom & Fare!
