very knowledgeable, barista’s and owners, very friendly, very relaxed and welcoming vibes. so much foot traffic and for a good reason!!
I liked this place right away. Later, I began to love it. It's a comfortable place to land, sip, read, chat. All those things. And the staff make the experience sweeter.
SK Coffee is the MN go-to for a really unique coffee experience. They really shine through with their pure coffee that really highlights the coffee innovation happening with passionate coffee farmers around the world. I tried the Lemongrass Colombian on pour over and was amazed how sweet & fruity a cup of coffee can be. The feel of the cafe is very warm with (almost like the living room of your cool, plant obsessed friend).
i asked for no ice in a cold brew and the barista filled it just barely halfway. i get it that ice fills a cup but this is just passive aggressive.
For a 10oz flavored latte, it was $7.55 which is pricey for a 10oz drink 😶. They do no offer other sizes; only one size. The latte was okay; drinkable but not my favorite. But, the atmosphere was nice. I like the neutral tones and it was bright inside. Overall, I don't think I'll be a returning customer. I like the atmosphere, but for a 10oz latte, it was not worth the money.
This is a decent shop but clearly geared towards people looking to have a Coffee Experience(TM). I just wanted a nice mocha and a place to post up and work remotely. My mocha tasted like plain iced coffee and was really expensive for a tiny drink. Great quality coffee but not what I was looking for, so I don't think I'll be back. If you're more of a coffee nerd than me, I'm sure you'd have a great time.
Such a great spot!
so thankful to have sk in whittier! excellent coffee, great vibes and music. everyone who works here is so kind! try the espresso tonic on a hot day :)
SK Coffee is amazing! After the last coffee shop that was in this location closed, I had my fingers crossed that another coffee shop would move in. My wish was granted, but I had no idea it would be this awesome. I’ve been there a few times now, and I’m trying to think of what accurately describes it, because simply saying coffee shop isn’t sufficient. Ok, so you get a burger at McDonald’s--that’s gas station coffee. Then you go to Applebees-that might be the equivalent of Starbucks. Your current favorite local coffee shop would probably be on par with you favorite local restaurant, right? SK Coffee? It’s like a Michelin chef, fine dining type of experience, but with coffee. I ordered their pour over yesterday, and while it’s a bit pricier than coffees I typically get, it was worth every penny. It was the smoothest, most complex, and just all around best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. I ended up asking what, exactly, Jinx Tea was. It sounded intriguing, so I got one of those, to go, as I was leaving. It was also fantastic! I’ve also had their miel, and flat white-both wonderful. I now have a new go-to coffee shop. Please stay open forever.
Exceptional coffee! As a huge fan of their original location, it's great to see them add a Minneapolis location. The coffee is richly floral, fruit-toned, and beautifully balanced. It's also refreshing to see a place so devoted to ethically sourcing their beans.
Great coffee, locally-owned, good spot to walk to! Cozy nook for a larger group in the front and lots of smaller tables with abundant outlets to camp out and work. Beyond going for myself, I've also picked up a larger order of coffee carafes for a community meeting. Great experiences with both, smooth and easy to work with.
Been an SK subscriber for years—love the coffee and this new space!
So far, I've had 2 oat milk miels and a flat white. The miels were the best I've ever had - both times. They were delicious and very smooth - the same can be said for the flat white. I'm glad to have this place in the neighborhood!
Third Wave Coffee is alive and well in Minneapolis. They are constantly rotating out the house blend, working with fair trade farms across the world bringing the best beans to Minneapolis. The roasting is top-tier. This place will make you like light bean espresso. Staff is very knowledgeable. It’s like going into a weed dispensary, for coffee. The last batch from oaxaca was amazing. The flavonoids were out of control.
I was so happy to learn SK Coffee opened their second location nearer to our house (other location is at Vandalia Tower). The whole team has done a great job making the space an inviting and upbeat place to connect with friends or simply enjoy their phenomenal coffee. From their unique roasts to their killer pastries from local bakers, you don't want to miss SK!
I've been to the roastery and it's a blast, and a very different vibe given that it's in a giant spacious lobby. But this Whittier location is a breath of fresh air. Very happy to see a coffee shop not conform to every other cookie cutter menu. Bravo for trying something new and honoring the product of COFFEE itself, the personalities at origin, and stepping out of the way, removing their ego.
This place isn’t it. I came here to get coffee and study, and albeit they made the place much nicer on the inside than misfit, but I couldn’t focus on anything. The music was out of control, I felt like I was in a bar on a Saturday night. My latte wasn’t good either, it tasted watered down. I won’t be back. It’s a bummer because it would be nice to finally have a good coffee shop in this location.
I loved the vibe of this place and especially their coffee! Their quality coffee is exceptional 👌🏼 highly recommend! Greatly kind staff as well!
Fire coffee!
I sincerely wish they would not allow dogs inside. Other than that, this place is amazing. The coffee is outstanding. Latte's are coffee-forward and not too sweet. Ambiance and service are remarkable. Baristas are excited to be there. Having shared such a small space with 3 unavoidable large dogs will deter me from being a regular though.
